That gap is exactly what these spacer plates close. They shim the pin box down to a 12-1/2" wide opening so it seats where it should, with no drilling on those trailer models. One kit turns an SH-4405 into an SH-4410 (and an SH-800-KP into an SH-800-KP-SH-GPB-Plates), and it works with the Shocker Quick Air Gooseneck Pin Box or the Quick Air 5th wheel pin box with kingpin. You get two 1/4" plates finished in black powder coat so they match the pin box you are bolting them to.
