I've ridden in the trailer myself — the difference in shock is huge. Our horses come off so much more relaxed, and there's less wear on the truck and trailer too.

Cushioning pintle hitch design for farm, contractor & heavy-duty trailer towing applications

Shocker Absorbing Design

Pivoting design with dual bump cushions absorbs the road shock & reduces tendency to sway

20,000 lbs Capacity

Up to 20,000 lbs towing capacity and a 2,000 lbs tongue weight on hitch and pintle ring

Max Black Textured Finish

Impact resistant super durable textured matte black powder coated finish of base frame

Stop destroying your trailer and cargo.

Every bump, pothole, and expansion joint sends a violent jolt through your trailer frame, damaging cargo and wearing out your truck. Shocker Air Ride Hitches absorb that punishment at the coupling, before it reaches your trailer.

Drag a fully loaded equipment trailer behind a 1-ton and a solid mount punishes everything. Every frost heave, every hard stop, every rough patch of gravel slams straight up through the truck, down into the trailer, and out to whatever you are hauling. The Shocker Impact Max 20K takes that hit for you. Two sealed rubber bump cushions flex and rebound between the truck and the load, so the jarring gets soaked up instead of passed along. This Impact Max Cushion Hitch and Pintle Hook w/Mount hauls 20,000 lbs GTW with up to 2,000 lb of tongue weight, drops into a 3-inch receiver, and sets your ball height anywhere from 4" Rise to 6-1/2" Drop. It runs the same dual rubber cushion design as the Impact Cushion 14K on a heavier 20K chassis, finished in matte black. No air pressure to check, no compressor, and no maintenance routine to keep up with.

Key Highlights

  • Hauls 20,000 lbs GTW with up to 2,000 lb of tongue weight, the heaviest a 1-ton is rated to pull
  • Two sealed rubber cushions soak up road shock with no air pressure to set and no maintenance to keep up
  • Matte black powder coat hides road grime, shrugs off chips, and matches a blacked-out truck
  • 3-inch shank drops straight into F-350, RAM 3500, and dual-rear-wheel one-ton receivers (class V/VI)
  • 7-hole frame flips over so you can dial in extra drop or rise to level any trailer
  • Takes the same ball mount attachments as the HD Max Black, so your existing gear carries over
  • Costs roughly 30% to 40% less than the HD Max Black 20K air-ride version
  • Built for 1-ton pickups and dual-rear-wheel trucks that tow right at the 20K limit

Why Step Up to the 20K Cushion

Enough Muscle for a 1-Ton

The 14K Impact Cushion handles half-tons and plenty of 3/4-tons just fine. But the day you hook up a skid steer, a loaded dump trailer, or a heavy equipment hauler behind a 1-ton, you want the 20K chassis under you. Same cushion tech, heavier steel to carry the weight.

Two Cushions Take the Beating

Two sealed rubber cushions squeeze and spring back as you tow, swallowing the shock a solid mount would slam straight into your truck. The ball mount pivots as they flex, so the ride stays smoother even when you are loaded to full GTW.

A Finish That Hides the Miles

Textured matte black powder coat keeps road grime from showing, holds up against chips and scratches, and looks right at home on a blacked-out truck. Same finish family as the HD Max Black air-ride line.

Nothing to Plug In

Air-ride hitches at this capacity need a compressor and a pressure gauge before every tow. The Impact Max 20K is sealed shut, so there is nothing to inflate or check. That is a real difference on a remote job site or out on the ranch, where dragging out a compressor is the last thing you want to do.

Built For These Trucks and Trailers

Twenty thousand pounds is a lot of trailer. The Impact Max is built for the trucks and loads that ask for it, and it skips the air-ride routine to get there.

  • 1-ton pickups like the F-350, RAM 3500, and GMC 3500HD
  • Dual-rear-wheel trucks towing at full GTW
  • Skid steer trailers, dump trailers, and equipment haulers
  • Contractor and ranch trailers pulling at or near 20,000 lbs
  • Fleet trucks where simple and tough beats adjustable
  • Owners who outgrew the Impact Cushion 14K and need more capacity

Impact Max 20K vs HD Max Black 20K

Same 20K chassis, same matte black finish. What you are really choosing between is how each one smooths the ride.

Option 1

Impact Max 20K (this product)

Sealed rubber cushions that never need service and cost about 30% to 40% less. No compressor, no pressure gauge, nothing to fuss with. Best if you want a tough, simple hitch that rides far better than a solid mount and asks for no upkeep.

Option 2

HD Max Black 20K (air-ride sibling)

An adjustable airbag you dial in for whatever you are pulling that day. More travel and a smoother ride at any tongue weight. It needs an inflator, and the airbag is a wear item over the years (though you can swap it in the field). Best for daily towers and heavy-haul operators who want to fine-tune the ride.

Built for the Job Site

On a working ranch, a remote job site, or a busy fleet yard, nobody has time to check airbag pressure before every pull. The Impact Max 20K takes that step off your list for good. Hook up, tow, unhook, do it again, for years, with no maintenance routine hanging over you. If you want Shocker capacity and ride quality but want to treat the hitch like any other piece of gear on the truck, this is the one built for that.

Same Attachments as the HD Max Black

The Impact Max 20K runs the same ball mount attachments as the HD Max Black, including combo balls, pintle hooks, clevises, drawbars, raised mounts, and drop mounts. If you have more than one truck in the Shocker family, your attachments carry across the whole 20K lineup, so you buy them once. The textured matte black powder coat stands up to UV, road salt, and rock chips, and every hitch ships from stock in Canada, so there is no border wait.
