Stop destroying your trailer and cargo.
Every bump, pothole, and expansion joint sends a violent jolt through your trailer frame, damaging cargo and wearing out your truck. Shocker Air Ride Hitches absorb that punishment at the coupling, before it reaches your trailer.
You feel it every time the trailer chucks against the truck. A heavy load riding on a solid mount slams every frost heave and hard stop straight through the ball, into your hitch, your bed, and your spine. The Shocker Impact Max 20K puts a real cushion between you and that beating. Two sealed rubber cushions soak up the jerk and rebound so the whole rig rides smoother, even loaded to the top. This Impact Max Cushion Hitch & Drop Ball Mount w/2-5/16" Ball hauls up to 20,000 lbs with as much as 2,000 lb on the tongue, slides into a 3-inch receiver, and gives you 0" to 7-1/2" of drop so you can sit your trailer level. It runs the same dual rubber bump cushion design as the Impact Cushion 14K, moved onto the heavier 20K chassis and finished in matte black powder coat. There is no air pressure to check and nothing to maintain.

Why This 20K Cushion Belongs on a Working Truck
Real Capacity for 1-Ton Trucks
The 14K Impact Cushion handles half-tons and plenty of 3/4-tons just fine. But the day you start pulling skid steers, dump trailers, and equipment haulers behind a 1-ton, you have outgrown it. The 20K chassis gives you the same cushion ride on heavier-duty steel that is built to carry the weight.
Dual Rubber Bump Cushions
Two sealed rubber cushions take the hit for you. They compress and rebound to absorb the shock of the tow, and the pivoting ball mount lets the load move a little instead of hammering straight through. That is what makes a cushion hitch ride easier than a solid mount, even loaded to the full 20,000 lbs.
Matte Black Stealth Finish
The textured matte black powder coat hides road grime, shrugs off chips, and looks right at home behind a blacked-out truck. It comes from the same finish family as the HD Max Black air-ride line.
No Compressor Required
Air-ride hitches at this capacity want a compressor and a pressure gauge before every tow. The Impact Max 20K is sealed shut, so there is nothing to inflate and nothing to read off a gauge. Out on a remote job site or the back of the ranch, where dragging a compressor around is a pain, that simplicity earns its keep.
Built For These Trucks and Trailers
Twenty thousand pounds is real weight. These are the trucks and trailers the Impact Max was built to carry, and it does the job without any air-ride routine.
- 1-ton pickups (F-350, RAM 3500, GMC 3500HD)
- Dual-rear-wheel trucks loaded to full GTW
- Skid steer trailers, dump trailers, and equipment haulers
- Contractor and ranch trailers pulling at or near 20,000 lbs
- Fleet trucks where simple and tough beats tunable
- Owners stepping up from the Impact Cushion 14K who ran out of capacity
Impact Max 20K vs HD Max Black 20K
Same 20K chassis, same matte black finish. What separates them is how they smooth out the ride.
Impact Max 20K (this product)
Sealed rubber cushions with nothing to inflate and nothing to maintain. It runs about 30 to 40% less than the air-ride version, and it never needs a compressor or a pressure gauge. Reach for this one when you want a real ride upgrade over a solid mount and you would rather keep things simple and tough than fuss with air pressure.
HD Max Black 20K (air-ride sibling)
An adjustable airbag lets you dial in the pressure for whatever you are hauling that day. You get more travel and a smoother ride at any tongue weight, and the airbag swaps out in the field if it ever wears down over the years. You do need an inflator to set it. This is the one for daily towers and heavy-haul operators who want to tune the ride to the load.
Built for the Job Site
Out on a working ranch, a remote job site, or a busy fleet yard, you do not always have a spare minute to check airbag pressure before you pull out. The Impact Max 20K takes that step off your list. Hook up, pull, unhook, and do it again tomorrow, for years, with no maintenance routine to remember. If you want Shocker capacity and ride quality but you want to treat the hitch like every other piece of gear in the yard, this is the line built for you.
Same Attachments as the HD Max Black
The Impact Max 20K takes the same ball mount attachments as the HD Max Black, including combo balls, pintle hooks, clevises, drawbars, raised mounts, and drop mounts. If you run more than one truck in the Shocker family, one set of attachments carries across the whole 20K lineup instead of buying doubles. The textured matte black powder coat stands up to UV, road salt, and rock chips, and every hitch ships from stock in Canada, so it arrives fast with no border wait.
