I've ridden in the trailer myself — the difference in shock is huge. Our horses come off so much more relaxed, and there's less wear on the truck and trailer too.

Stop destroying your trailer and cargo.

Every bump, pothole, and expansion joint sends a violent jolt through your trailer frame, damaging cargo and wearing out your truck. Shocker Air Ride Hitches absorb that punishment at the coupling, before it reaches your trailer.

Hook a 20,000-lb equipment trailer to a solid mount and every frost heave, every hard stop, and every rough county road slams straight through the ball and up into the cab. That constant chucking wears on your truck's frame, the trailer, and whatever you've got loaded. The Impact Max Cushion Hitch & Raised Ball Mount takes that hit for you. Two sealed rubber cushions soak up the jolt so the ride settles down even loaded to the limit. It carries 20,000 lbs GTW with up to 2,000 lb of tongue weight, hauls the heaviest trailer you'll put behind a one-ton, drops into a 3-inch receiver, and adjusts from 3" Drop to 5" Rise for a level tow. Same cushion design proven on the Impact Cushion 14K, built on the heavier 20K chassis and finished in matte black. There's no air pressure to check and no maintenance to keep up with.

Why Step Up to a 20K Cushion Hitch

Capacity That Matches a 1-Ton

The 14K Impact Cushion handles half-tons and most three-quarter-tons just fine. Once you start pulling skid steers, dump trailers, and heavy equipment haulers behind a one-ton, you want the 20K chassis under you. Same cushion technology, with heavier-duty steel to back it up.

Dual Rubber Bump Cushions

Two sealed rubber cushions squeeze and rebound to swallow the shock a solid mount would pass straight through. The ball mount pivots on them, so the ride stays smoother even loaded to full GTW.

Matte Black That Hides the Grime

A textured matte black powder coat shrugs off road grime and rock chips instead of showing every scuff, and it pairs cleanly with modern blacked-out trucks. It shares the finish family with the HD Max Black air-ride line.

Nothing to Inflate or Check

Air-ride hitches at this capacity want a compressor and a pressure gauge in the mix. The Impact Max is sealed, so there's neither. That matters out on a remote job site or a ranch, where dragging out a compressor before every tow just isn't practical.

Built For These Trucks and Trailers

Twenty thousand pounds is serious weight. The Impact Max is built for the trucks and loads that call for it, and it does the job without any air-ride routine.

  • One-ton pickups (F-350, RAM 3500, GMC 3500HD)
  • Dually trucks towing at full GTW
  • Skid steer trailers, dump trailers, equipment haulers
  • Contractor and ranch trailers pulling at or near 20,000 lbs
  • Fleet trucks where you want tough and simple over adjustable
  • Owners who outgrew the Impact Cushion 14K and need more capacity

Impact Max 20K vs HD Max Black 20K

Same 20K chassis, same matte black finish. What you're really choosing between is how each one softens the ride.

Option 1

Impact Max 20K (this product)

Sealed rubber cushions, no maintenance, and about 30 to 40% less money. Nothing to inflate or gauge before you roll. It's the pick if you want a real ride upgrade over a solid mount and would rather skip the air-ride workflow to get it.

Option 2

HD Max Black 20K (air-ride sibling)

An adjustable airbag you can tune to any load, with more travel and an even smoother ride at any tongue weight. It needs an inflator, and the airbag is a wear item over many years, though you can replace it in the field. Best for daily towers and heavy-haul operators who want that adjustability.

Built for the Job Site

On a working ranch, a remote job site, or a busy fleet yard, you don't always have a minute to check airbag pressure before you roll. The Impact Max drops that step completely. Hook up, pull, unhook, and do it again for years with no maintenance routine to stay on top of. If you want Shocker capacity and ride quality but plan to treat the hitch like any other piece of fleet gear, this is the line built for you.

Same Attachments as the HD Max Black

The Impact Max shares its ball mount attachments with the HD Max Black, including combo balls, pintle hooks, clevises, drawbars, raised mounts, and drop mounts. If you run more than one truck in the Shocker family, one set of attachments carries across the whole 20K lineup. The textured matte black powder coat holds up to UV, road salt, and rock chips, and it ships direct from our Canadian stock with no border wait.
