Stop destroying your trailer and cargo.
Every bump, pothole, and expansion joint sends a violent jolt through your trailer frame, damaging cargo and wearing out your truck. Shocker Air Ride Hitches absorb that punishment at the coupling, before it reaches your trailer.
Every hard stop and every frost heave sends a jolt straight up through a solid hitch into your truck, your trailer, and whatever you are hauling. Over a long day that pounding wears on all three, and it makes the drive rougher on you too. The Shocker Impact Max 20K takes the hit for you. It runs the same dual rubber bump cushion design proven on the Impact Cushion 14K, moved onto a heavier 20K chassis with a matte black powder coat. This Impact Max Cushion Hitch & Cushion Drawbar w/1" Hole hauls up to 20,000 lbs with as much as 2,000 lbs on the tongue, drops into a 2-1/2-inch receiver, and gives you 3-1/2" of drop or 3-1/2" of rise to sit your trailer level. And it does all of it with zero air pressure to manage and no upkeep to remember.
Key Highlights
- Hauls up to 20,000 lbs with as much as 2,000 lbs on the tongue, the heaviest a 1-ton will pull

- Matte black powder coat hides grime, shrugs off rock chips, and matches a blacked-out truck
- 2-1/2-inch shank drops into F-250 / RAM 2500-class three-quarter-ton receivers (class V)
- 7-hole frame flips and re-pins to dial in more drop or more rise for a level tow

Why a 20K Cushion Hitch
Capacity That Keeps Up With a 1-Ton
The 14K Impact Cushion handles half-tons and plenty of three-quarter-tons just fine. Load up a skid steer, a dump trailer, or a heavy equipment hauler behind a 1-ton, though, and you are asking more than that frame should carry. The 20K chassis is built for it: the same cushion technology on heavier-duty steel.
Two Cushions Doing the Work
Two sealed rubber cushions take the tow shock, squeezing down and springing back with every bump instead of passing it straight through. The ball mount pivots as they move, and that is what lets a cushion hitch ride smoother than a solid mount even when you are loaded to full GTW.
A Finish That Hides the Miles
The textured matte black powder coat hides road grime between washes, shrugs off chips when gravel kicks up, and looks right behind a modern blacked-out truck. It is the same finish family as the HD Max Black air-ride line.
Nothing to Pump Up
Air-ride hitches at this capacity want a compressor and a pressure gauge before every tow. The Impact Max 20K is sealed, so there is nothing to inflate and nothing to check. That earns its keep on a remote job site or out on the ranch, where dragging out a compressor is not always practical.
Built For These Trucks and Trailers
Twenty thousand pounds is serious weight. The Impact Max is built for the trucks and loads that actually need it, and it skips the air-ride routine to get there.
- 1-ton pickups (F-350, RAM 3500, GMC 3500HD)
- Dually trucks running at full GTW
- Skid steer trailers, dump trailers, and equipment haulers
- Contractor and ranch trailers pulling at or near 20,000 lbs
- Fleet trucks where dead-simple and durable beats adjustable
- Owners who outgrew the Impact Cushion 14K and need more capacity
Impact Max 20K vs HD Max Black 20K
Same 20K chassis, same matte black finish. The only real decision is how you want the ride cushioned.
Impact Max 20K (this product)
Rubber cushions, sealed up and maintenance-free. Runs roughly 30% to 40% cheaper, with no compressor and no gauge to deal with. This is your pick if you want a clear ride upgrade over a solid mount and would rather keep things simple and tough than fuss with air.
HD Max Black 20K (air-ride sibling)
An adjustable airbag you tune to each load. It gives more travel and a smoother ride at any tongue weight, though it needs an inflator, and the airbag is a wear item over many years (field-replaceable when that day comes). Best for daily towers and heavy-haul operators who want to dial in the ride.
Built for the Job Site
On a working ranch, a remote job site, or a busy fleet yard, you do not always have a spare minute to check airbag pressure before you pull out. The Impact Max 20K takes that step off your list. Hook up, pull, unhook, and do it again the next day, for years, with no maintenance routine to keep up. If you want Shocker capacity and ride quality but would rather treat the hitch like any other piece of fleet gear, this is the line built for you.
Same Attachments as the HD Max Black
The Impact Max 20K takes the same ball mount attachments as the HD Max Black: combo balls, pintle hooks, clevises, drawbars, raised mounts, and drop mounts. If you run more than one truck across the Shocker lineup, those attachments swap right across the 20K family, so you are not buying doubles. The textured matte black powder coat holds up to UV, road salt, and rock chips, and it is stocked in Canada, so it ships direct with no border wait.
