Stop destroying your trailer and cargo.
Every bump, pothole, and expansion joint sends a violent jolt through your trailer frame, damaging cargo and wearing out your truck. Shocker Air Ride Hitches absorb that punishment at the coupling, before it reaches your trailer.
Pull a heavy trailer behind a 1-ton on a solid drawbar and every frost heave, pothole, and hard stop slams straight through the coupler into your truck, your trailer, and whatever you loaded on it. That constant jarring beats up your gear and wears you out over a long day. The Shocker Impact Max 20K settles it down with a pair of sealed rubber cushions that soak up the shock through compression and rebound, so the ride smooths out even when you are loaded to the limit. It runs the same dual rubber bump cushion design as the Impact Cushion 14K, built onto the heavier-duty 20K chassis and finished in matte black powder coat. This Impact Max Cushion Hitch & Clevis Pin Mount w/1-1/4" Holes hauls up to 20,000 lbs GTW with up to 2,000 lb of tongue weight, slides into 2-1/2-inch receivers, and adjusts from 1-1/2" Rise to 5-1/2" Drop, all with zero air pressure to manage and no ongoing maintenance.

Why a 20K Cushion Hitch
Enough Muscle for a 1-Ton
The 14K Impact Cushion handles half-tons and plenty of 3/4-tons just fine. But once you are dragging a loaded skid steer, a dump trailer, or a heavy equipment hauler behind a 1-ton, you are past what the lighter frame should carry. This puts the same cushion setup on heavier-duty steel so it stands up to the weight.
Two Rubber Cushions Take the Hit
Two sealed rubber cushions do the work for you, squeezing and springing back to swallow the shock a solid mount would pass straight through. The ball mount pivots as they compress, and that motion is what smooths out the ride even when you are hooked to the full 20,000 lbs.
Matte Black That Hides the Miles
The textured matte black powder coat shrugs off road grime and rock chips instead of showing every scuff, and it looks right sitting behind a blacked-out truck. It is the same finish family as the HD Max Black air-ride line.
No Compressor to Drag Around
Air-ride hitches at this weight need a compressor and a pressure gauge to keep working. The Impact Max 20K is sealed shut, so there is nothing to inflate and nothing to check. Out on a remote job site or a back pasture where hauling a compressor around is a pain, that is one less thing to deal with.
Built For These Trucks and Trailers
Twenty thousand pounds is a lot of trailer. The Impact Max is built for the trucks and loads that need every bit of it, with none of the air-ride fuss.
- 1-ton pickups like the F-350, RAM 3500, and GMC 3500HD
- Dual-rear-wheel trucks loaded to full GTW
- Skid steer trailers, dump trailers, and equipment haulers
- Contractor and ranch trailers running at or near 20,000 lbs
- Fleet trucks where you want dead-simple and tough over adjustable
- Owners stepping up from the Impact Cushion 14K who ran out of capacity
Impact Max 20K vs HD Max Black 20K
Same 20K chassis, same matte black finish. The only real question is how you want the suspension to work.
Impact Max 20K (this product)
Rubber cushions, sealed up and maintenance-free, for roughly 30 to 40% less money. Nothing to inflate and no gauge to watch. This is the pick if you want a real ride upgrade over a solid mount and would rather keep things simple and tough than fiddle with air pressure.
HD Max Black 20K (air-ride sibling)
An adjustable airbag you can dial to any load, with more travel and a softer ride no matter the tongue weight. You will need an inflator to set it, and the airbag is a wear item over the years (you can swap it in the field when that day comes). This is the pick for daily towers and heavy-haul crews who want to tune the ride.
Built for the Job Site
On a working ranch, a remote job site, or a busy fleet yard, nobody has time to walk out and check airbag pressure before every pull. The Impact Max 20K drops that step completely. Hook up, pull, unhook, and do it again for years with no maintenance routine to keep up on. If you want Shocker capacity and ride quality but plan to treat the hitch like any other piece of fleet gear, this is the one built for that.
Same Attachments as the HD Max Black
The Impact Max 20K takes the same ball mount attachments as the HD Max Black, including combo balls, pintle hooks, clevises, drawbars, raised mounts, and drop mounts. If you run more than one truck across the Shocker 20K family, one set of attachments works across all of them, so you are not buying doubles. The textured matte black powder coat holds up to UV, road salt, and rock chips, and it is stocked in Canada, so it ships direct with no border wait.
