Stop destroying your trailer and cargo.
Every bump, pothole, and expansion joint sends a violent jolt through your trailer frame, damaging cargo and wearing out your truck. Shocker Air Ride Hitches absorb that punishment at the coupling, before it reaches your trailer.
Pull a loaded equipment trailer behind a 1-ton and you feel every bump come straight through the seat. The trailer chucks you on frost heaves, hard stops jolt the whole rig, and that pounding wears on your truck, your trailer, and whatever is strapped down back there. The Impact Max cushion hitch takes that beating for you. Two sealed rubber cushions soak up the shock so the ride settles down, and it does it while carrying 20,000 lbs GTW with up to 2,000 lb tongue weight. It fits 2-1/2-inch receivers, gives you 3-1/2" Drop to 3-1/2" Rise, and wears a matte black powder coat finish. The best part is there is zero air pressure to manage and no ongoing maintenance, so you hook up and go.

Why Step Up to a 20K Cushion Hitch
Capacity That Keeps Up With a 1-Ton
The 14K Impact Cushion handles half-tons and plenty of 3/4-tons just fine. Start pulling skid steers, dump trailers, or heavy equipment haulers behind a 1-ton and you are asking more of a hitch than that. This is the 20K chassis, the same cushion technology built on heavier-duty steel, so it carries the loads that flat-out max out a lighter hitch.
Two Cushions That Take the Hit
Two sealed rubber cushions do the work, squishing down and springing back to swallow the shock before it ever reaches the truck. The ball mount pivots on those cushions, and that bit of give is what makes it ride softer than a dead-solid mount, even loaded right up to full GTW.
Matte Black That Hides the Grime
The textured matte black powder coat hides road grime, shrugs off chips, and looks right at home on a blacked-out truck. It is the same finish family as the HD Max Black air-ride line.
Nothing to Inflate, Nothing to Check
Air-ride hitches at this capacity want a compressor and a pressure gauge before every tow. The Impact Max 20K is sealed, so there is nothing to inflate and nothing to check. That earns its keep on a remote job site or ranch work, where dragging out a compressor is not always in the cards.
Built for These Trucks and Loads
Twenty thousand pounds is serious capacity. This is the hitch for the trucks and loads that actually need it, minus the air-ride routine.
- 1-ton pickups like the F-350, RAM 3500, and GMC 3500HD
- Dual-rear-wheel trucks running at full GTW
- Skid steer trailers, dump trailers, and equipment haulers
- Contractor and ranch trailers pulling at or near 20,000 lbs
- Fleet trucks where simple and tough beat tunable
- Owners stepping up from the Impact Cushion 14K who outgrew its capacity
Impact Max 20K vs HD Max Black 20K
Same 20K chassis, same matte black finish. What separates them is how they soak up the road.
Impact Max 20K (this product)
Sealed rubber cushions, nothing to maintain. It runs about 30 to 40% cheaper than the air-ride version, with no compressor or pressure gauge in the picture. This is the pick when you want simple, tough, and a real step up in ride over a solid mount, and you would rather skip the air-ride workflow.
HD Max Black 20K (air-ride sibling)
An adjustable airbag you dial to the load, with more travel and a softer ride at any tongue weight. It needs an inflator, and the airbag is a wear item over many years, though you can swap it right in the field when that day comes. This is the pick for daily towers and heavy-haul operators who want to fine-tune the ride.
Built for the Job Site
On a working ranch, a remote job site, or a busy fleet yard, you do not always have a minute to check airbag pressure before you pull out. The Impact Max 20K drops that step for good. Hook up, pull, unhook, and do it again for years without a single maintenance routine. If you want Shocker capacity and ride quality but you treat the hitch like any other piece of fleet gear, this is the line built for you.
One Set of Attachments Across the 20K Family
The Impact Max 20K runs the same ball mount attachments as the HD Max Black, so combo balls, pintle hooks, clevises, drawbars, raised mounts, and drop mounts all fit right. Run more than one truck across the Shocker lineup and your attachments carry over across the whole 20K family, so you are not buying duplicates. The textured matte black powder coat stands up to UV, road salt, and rock chips, and it ships direct from our Canadian stock with no border wait.
