I've ridden in the trailer myself — the difference in shock is huge. Our horses come off so much more relaxed, and there's less wear on the truck and trailer too.

Adjustable Pintle Hook & Ball Mount

Fits 6" OD x 3" ID pintle rings, with an adjustable design offering a 1" rise to 6-1/2" drop and 7 adjustment holes for flexibility in height.

HD Pivoting Design

Filters the rock shock through the urethane cushions with the greaseable 1" diameter 1045 carbon steel pivot bolt.

Unique Flip Around Design

Hitch can be flipped around more drop or rise. The only cushion hitch on the market that can be flipped around.

Dual Cushion Bump System

Absorbs road shock, bumps, and jerks, reducing sway and providing a smoother towing experience. Cushions forward & backwards plus up & down for maximum cushioning.

Stop destroying your trailer and cargo.

Every bump, pothole, and expansion joint sends a violent jolt through your trailer frame, damaging cargo and wearing out your truck. Shocker Air Ride Hitches absorb that punishment at the coupling, before it reaches your trailer.

Pull a loaded equipment trailer over a rough road on a solid mount and you feel every frost heave and pothole slam straight through the truck. That jarring beats up your hitch, your trailer, and whatever is strapped to the deck, and hard stops get white-knuckle fast. The Shocker Impact Max 20K takes the sting out of it. Two sealed rubber bump cushions soak up the shock so the ride settles down, even hooked to the heaviest loads a 1-ton truck can pull. It carries 20,000 lbs GTW with up to 2,000 lb of tongue weight, drops into 2-1/2-inch receivers, and adjusts from 1" Rise to 6-1/2" Drop so you can level out. It is the same proven cushion design as the Impact Cushion 14K, built on the heavier 20K chassis and finished in matte black powder coat. There is no air pressure to check and nothing to maintain. Hook up and go.

Key Highlights

  • Hauls up to 20,000 lbs GTW and 2,000 lb of tongue weight, the heaviest a 1-ton truck will pull
  • Two sealed rubber cushions take the beating out of rough roads, with no air pressure and nothing to maintain
  • Matte black powder coat shrugs off rock chips and road grime and matches a blacked-out truck
  • 2-1/2-inch shank slides into F-250 / RAM 2500-class three-quarter-ton receivers (class V)
  • 7-hole adjustable frame flips over so you can dial in more drop or more rise for a level tow
  • Runs the same ball mount attachments as the HD Max Black line, so one set of gear covers your rigs
  • Costs roughly 30 to 40 percent less than the HD Max Black 20K air-ride version
  • Built for 1-ton pickups and dual-rear-wheel trucks working right at the 20K limit

Why Step Up to the 20K Cushion

Real Capacity for a 1-Ton

The 14K Impact Cushion handles half-tons and plenty of 3/4-tons just fine. Start pulling a skid steer, a dump trailer, or a loaded equipment hauler behind a 1-ton and you want the 20K chassis under you. Same cushion, heavier steel.

Dual Rubber Bump Cushions

Two sealed rubber cushions squeeze and rebound to swallow the shock a solid mount sends straight into your truck. The ball mount pivots on those cushions, so the ride stays smoother even loaded to full GTW.

Matte Black Stealth Finish

Textured matte black powder coat hides the road grime, fights off chips, and looks right behind a modern blacked-out truck. It is the same finish family as the HD Max Black air-ride line.

No Compressor Required

Air-ride hitches at this capacity want a compressor and a pressure gauge. The Impact Max 20K is sealed, so it needs neither. That is a real advantage on a remote job site or a ranch where dragging out a compressor is not always practical.

What This Hitch Is Built For

Twenty thousand pounds is serious weight. This is the hitch for the trucks and trailers that actually pull it, with none of the air-ride routine.

  • 1-ton pickups (F-350, RAM 3500, GMC 3500HD)
  • Dual-rear-wheel trucks loaded to full GTW
  • Skid steer trailers, dump trailers, and equipment haulers
  • Contractor and ranch trailers running at or near 20,000 lbs
  • Fleet trucks where simple and tough beats tunable
  • Owners stepping up from the Impact Cushion 14K who outgrew it

Impact Max 20K vs HD Max Black 20K

Same 20K chassis, same matte black finish. The only real question is which suspension you want under the load.

Option 1

Impact Max 20K (this product)

Sealed rubber cushions that never need maintenance. Runs about 30 to 40 percent cheaper, with no compressor or pressure gauge to fuss with. This is the pick if you want a clear ride upgrade over a solid mount and prefer to keep things simple and tough.

Option 2

HD Max Black 20K (air-ride sibling)

An adjustable airbag you tune with pressure to match any load. It gives more travel and a smoother ride at any tongue weight, but it needs an inflator, and the airbag is a wear item over many years (field-replaceable when that day comes). Best for daily towers and heavy-haul operators who want that adjustability.

Built for the Job Site

On a working ranch, a remote job site, or a busy fleet yard, nobody has time to check airbag pressure before every tow. The Impact Max 20K takes that step off your list. Hook up, pull, unhook, and do it again for years with no maintenance routine to keep up. If you want Shocker capacity and ride quality but you treat your hitch like any other piece of fleet gear, this is the line for you.

Same Attachments as the HD Max Black

The Impact Max 20K takes the same ball mount attachments as the HD Max Black, including combo balls, pintle hooks, clevises, drawbars, raised mounts, and drop mounts. Run more than one truck across the Shocker lineup and your attachments swap right across the 20K family. The textured matte black powder coat stands up to UV, road salt, and rock chips, and it ships direct from stock in Canada with no border wait.
