I've ridden in the trailer myself — the difference in shock is huge. Our horses come off so much more relaxed, and there's less wear on the truck and trailer too.

Shocker Absorbing Design

Pivoting design with dual bump cushions absorbs the road shock & reduces the tendency to sway

Max Black Textured Finish

Impact resistant super durable textured matte black powder coated finish of base frame

Choose Hitch Ball

Pick between a 2″ ball (rated at 10,000 lbs. tow cap) or a 2-5/16″ ball (rated at 20,000 lbs. tow cap)

Includes complete adjustable Shocker Impact

Max cushioned base frame with built-in bump cushions, adjustable raised ball mount & 2 d-handle ball mount pins with clips.

Stop destroying your trailer and cargo.

Every bump, pothole, and expansion joint sends a violent jolt through your trailer frame, damaging cargo and wearing out your truck. Shocker Air Ride Hitches absorb that punishment at the coupling, before it reaches your trailer.

You feel it every time the trailer chucks against a solid mount. The jolt through the frame on a frost heave, the slam when you brake hard, the slow beating your truck and cargo take mile after mile. The Impact Max Cushion Hitch & Raised Ball Mount w/2-5/16" Ball takes that hit for you. Two sealed rubber cushions compress and rebound to soak up the shock, so a heavy pull rides smoother than any solid bar. It carries the heaviest trailer you'll put behind a 1-ton, 20,000 lbs GTW with up to 2,000 lb of tongue weight, drops into a 2-1/2-inch receiver, and swings from 3" of drop to 5" of rise so the trailer sits level. Same proven cushion design as the Impact Cushion 14K, built on the heavier 20K chassis in a matte black powder coat, with zero air pressure to check and no maintenance to keep up.

Key Highlights

  • Pulls 20,000 lbs GTW with up to 2,000 lb of tongue weight, the heaviest trailer a 1-ton will tow
  • Two sealed rubber cushions soak up the shock, with no air pressure to check and no maintenance to keep up
  • Matte black powder coat shrugs off rock chips and road grime and matches a blacked-out truck
  • 2-1/2-inch shank drops into the class V receiver on F-250 / RAM 2500-class three-quarter-ton trucks
  • 7-hole adjustable frame flips over to give you more drop or more rise so the trailer tows level
  • Takes the same ball mount attachments as the HD Max Black, so a mixed fleet shares one set
  • Runs roughly 30 to 40% less than the HD Max Black 20K air-ride version
  • Built for 1-ton pickups and dual-rear-wheel trucks working right at the 20K limit

Why Step Up to a 20K Cushion Hitch

Real Capacity for a 1-Ton

The 14K Impact Cushion has plenty of muscle for a half-ton and most three-quarter-tons. Start pulling skid steers, dump trailers, or a loaded equipment hauler behind a 1-ton and you're asking more than 14K can safely give. The 20K chassis answers with the same cushion technology and heavier-duty steel underneath it.

Dual Rubber Bump Cushions

A solid mount hands every bump straight to your truck and trailer. Two sealed rubber cushions take that hit instead, compressing and rebounding to absorb the shock. The pivoting ball mount geometry is what lets a cushion hitch ride smoother than a solid mount, even loaded to full GTW.

Matte Black Stealth Finish

Textured matte black powder coat hides road grime, fights off rock chips, and looks right behind a modern blacked-out truck. It's the same finish family as the HD Max Black air-ride line.

No Compressor Required

Air-ride hitches at this capacity mean a compressor and a pressure gauge to keep tabs on. The Impact Max 20K is sealed shut, so there's neither. On a remote job site or out on the ranch, where dragging out a compressor isn't always practical, that's one less thing to deal with before you pull.

Built For These Trucks and Trailers

Twenty thousand pounds is serious weight, and it punishes a truck that isn't set up for it. The Impact Max is built for the rigs and loads that live up there, without the air-ride workflow.

  • 1-ton pickups like the F-350, RAM 3500, and GMC 3500HD
  • Dual-rear-wheel trucks pulling at full GTW
  • Skid steer trailers, dump trailers, and equipment haulers
  • Contractor and ranch trailers running at or near 20,000 lbs
  • Fleet trucks where simple and tough beats tunable
  • Owners who outgrew the Impact Cushion 14K and need more capacity

Impact Max 20K vs HD Max Black 20K

Same 20K chassis family, same matte black finish. What you're really choosing between is how each one soaks up the road.

Option 1

Impact Max 20K (this product)

Sealed rubber cushions that ride maintenance-free for the life of the hitch, with no compressor or pressure gauge to bother with. It runs about 30 to 40% cheaper. This is the one to grab if you want a clear ride upgrade over a solid mount and would rather skip the air-ride routine.

Option 2

HD Max Black 20K (air-ride sibling)

An adjustable airbag you tune to the load, giving more travel and a smoother ride at any tongue weight. It needs an inflator, and the airbag is a wear item over many years, though you can swap it in the field. This is the pick for daily towers and heavy-haul operators who want to dial in the ride.

Built for the Job Site

On a working ranch, a remote job site, or a busy fleet yard, nobody has time to crawl back and check airbag pressure before every tow. The Impact Max 20K takes that step off your list for good. Hook up, pull, unhook, and do it again tomorrow, for years, with no maintenance routine to remember. If you want Shocker capacity and ride quality but want to treat the hitch like every other piece of fleet gear, this is the line built for you.

Same Attachments as the HD Max Black

The Impact Max 20K takes the same ball mount attachments as the HD Max Black, including combo balls, pintle hooks, clevises, drawbars, raised mounts, and drop mounts. Run several trucks across the Shocker ecosystem and one set of attachments works across the whole 20K family, so you're not buying doubles. The textured matte black powder coat stands up to UV, road salt, and rock chips, and it's stocked here in Canada, so it ships direct with no border wait.
