Stop destroying your trailer and cargo.
Every bump, pothole, and expansion joint sends a violent jolt through your trailer frame, damaging cargo and wearing out your truck. Shocker Air Ride Hitches absorb that punishment at the coupling, before it reaches your trailer.
Pull a heavy trailer behind a solid mount and you feel every bump the road throws at you. The jolt off a frost heave, the chuck of the trailer shoving your truck at a hard stop, the pounding that wears on your hitch, your bed, and whatever you loaded. The Impact Max Cushion Hitch takes that hit for you. Two sealed rubber bump cushions soak up the shock so the ride stays smooth even loaded right to the limit. It hauls 20,000 lbs GTW with up to 2,000 lb tongue weight, drops into a 2-inch receiver, and adjusts from 1-1/2" rise to 5-1/2" drop so your trailer sits level. And it does all of that with zero air pressure to manage and no ongoing maintenance, so there is nothing to check before you hook up and go.
Key Highlights
- Hauls 20,000 lbs GTW with up to 2,000 lb tongue weight, the heaviest load you will put behind a 1-ton

- Matte black powder coat shrugs off road grime and rock chips and blends into a blacked-out truck
- The 2-inch shank drops into F-150-class half-ton receivers and class III and IV receivers
- 7-hole adjustable frame flips over for more drop or more rise so your trailer tows level

Why a 20K Cushion Hitch
Capacity That Matches a 1-Ton
The 14K Impact Cushion handles half-tons and a lot of 3/4-tons just fine. Load up skid steers, dump trailers, or heavy equipment haulers behind a 1-ton and you have outgrown it. This is the same cushion setup built on the heavier 20K chassis and heavier-gauge steel, so it holds up to the loads that break lighter hitches.
How the Cushions Smooth the Ride
Two sealed rubber cushions squeeze and rebound to swallow the tow shock before it reaches your truck. The ball mount pivots on them, and that pivoting geometry is what lets a cushion hitch ride smoother than a solid bar even at full GTW. The jarring your hitch, bed, and cargo used to take, the rubber takes instead.
A Finish That Holds Up
The textured matte black powder coat hides road grime, fights off chips, and matches a modern blacked-out truck without trying. It comes from the same finish family as the HD Max Black air-ride line, so it looks at home next to the rest of your gear.
Nothing to Pump Up
Air-ride hitches at this capacity need a compressor and a pressure gauge. The Impact Max 20K is sealed, so there is neither. On a remote job site or out on the ranch where dragging a compressor around is a pain, that means you just hook up and pull.
Built For These Trucks and Trailers
Twenty thousand pounds is serious weight. The Impact Max is built for the trucks and loads that actually need it, and it gets there without any air-ride routine to keep up.
- 1-ton pickups like the F-350, RAM 3500, and GMC 3500HD
- Dual-rear-wheel trucks towing at full GTW
- Skid steer trailers, dump trailers, and equipment haulers
- Contractor and ranch trailers running at or near 20,000 lbs
- Fleet trucks where simple and tough beats tunable
- Anyone stepping up from the Impact Cushion 14K who ran out of capacity
Impact Max 20K vs HD Max Black 20K
Same 20K chassis family, same matte black finish. What you are really choosing between is how each one softens the ride.
Impact Max 20K (this product)
Sealed rubber cushions, nothing to maintain, and no compressor or pressure gauge to fuss with. It runs about 30 to 40% cheaper than the air-ride version and still rides far smoother than a solid mount. Go this way if you want a tough, simple hitch and a clear ride upgrade without the air-ride routine.
HD Max Black 20K (air-ride sibling)
An adjustable airbag you dial to the load, with more travel and a smoother ride at any tongue weight. It needs an inflator, and the airbag is a wear item over many years, though you can replace it in the field. Go this way if you tow daily or haul heavy and want to fine-tune the ride.
Built for the Job Site
On a working ranch, a remote job site, or a fleet yard, you do not always have a minute to check airbag pressure before you pull out. The Impact Max 20K takes that step off your list for good. Hook up, pull, unhook, and do it again for years with no maintenance routine hanging over you. If you want Shocker capacity and ride quality but expect the hitch to just work like any other piece of fleet equipment, this is the one built for that.
One Set of Attachments Across Your Trucks
The Impact Max 20K uses the same ball mount attachments as the HD Max Black, including combo balls, pintle hooks, clevises, drawbars, raised mounts, and drop mounts. Run more than one truck in the Shocker lineup and your attachments swap right across the 20K product family, so you buy the gear once. The textured matte black powder coat stands up to UV, road salt, and rock chips, and every hitch ships from stock in Canada with no border wait.
