Stop destroying your trailer and cargo.
Every bump, pothole, and expansion joint sends a violent jolt through your trailer frame, damaging cargo and wearing out your truck. Shocker Air Ride Hitches absorb that punishment at the coupling, before it reaches your trailer.
Pull twenty thousand pounds behind a 1-ton with a solid steel hitch and you feel every bit of it. The chucking through town, the jolt when the trailer surges on a hard stop, and the pounding that wears on your truck, your trailer, and whatever you loaded on it. The Shocker Impact Max 20K takes that hit for you. It uses the same dual rubber bump cushion design as the Impact Cushion 14K, moved onto a beefed-up 20K chassis and finished in matte black powder coat. This Impact Max Cushion Hitch & Chrome Combo Ball Mount w/2" & 2-5/16" Balls hauls up to 20,000 lbs with up to 2,000 lbs on the tongue, slides into any 2-inch receiver, and gives you 4" of drop to 4" of rise so you can sit the trailer level. Best part: zero air pressure to manage and nothing to maintain.
Key Highlights
- Hauls up to 20,000 lbs, with up to 2,000 lbs riding on the tongue, so it handles the heaviest trailer you'll hang off a 1-ton
- Sealed dual rubber cushions soak up the road shock, with no air pressure to check and nothing to maintain
- Matte black powder coat that shrugs off rock chips and matches a blacked-out truck
- 2-inch shank fits F-150-class half-ton trucks (and class III/IV receivers)
- 7-hole adjustable frame that flips over when you need more drop or more rise
- Takes the same ball mount attachments as the HD Max Black ecosystem, so your gear carries over
- Runs roughly 30 to 40% less than the HD Max Black 20K air-ride version
- Built for 1-ton pickups and dual-rear-wheel trucks working right at the 20K limit

Why Step Up to a 20K Cushion Hitch
Real Capacity for 1-Ton Trucks
The 14K Impact Cushion has plenty of capacity for half-tons and a lot of 3/4-tons. But the day you start pulling skid steers, dump trailers, or heavy equipment haulers behind a 1-ton, you have outrun it. The 20K chassis is the same cushion setup on heavier steel, so you get the same smooth pull with the capacity those loads demand.
Dual Rubber Bump Cushions
Two sealed rubber cushions take the shock of the tow by squeezing and springing back, over and over. The ball mount pivots as they work, and that motion is what smooths out the ride compared to a solid mount, even when you are loaded right to full GTW.
Matte Black Stealth Finish
The textured matte black powder coat hides road grime, fights off chips, and looks right at home under a blacked-out truck. It is the same finish family as the HD Max Black air-ride line.
No Compressor Required
Air-ride hitches at this capacity need a compressor and a pressure gauge to keep them set. The Impact Max 20K is sealed, so there is nothing to inflate and nothing to read. That is a real advantage on a remote job site or out on the ranch, where dragging a compressor around is not always practical.
Built For These Trucks and Trailers
Twenty thousand pounds is serious weight. The Impact Max is built for the trucks and loads that demand it, and it does the job without any air-ride routine.
- 1-ton pickups like the F-350, RAM 3500, and GMC 3500HD
- Dually trucks working at full GTW
- Skid steer trailers, dump trailers, and equipment haulers
- Contractor and ranch trailers pulling at or near 20,000 lbs
- Fleet trucks where simple and tough beats tunable
- Owners moving up from the Impact Cushion 14K who outgrew it
Impact Max 20K vs HD Max Black 20K
Same 20K chassis, same matte black finish. What you are really choosing between is the suspension: rubber cushions or an air bag.
Impact Max 20K (this product)
Sealed rubber cushions, nothing to maintain, and about 30 to 40% cheaper than the air-ride version. No compressor, no pressure gauge, nothing to set. This is the one to grab if you want a clear ride upgrade over a solid mount and you would rather keep things simple and tough than fuss with air.
HD Max Black 20K (air-ride sibling)
An adjustable airbag you can set to any load, with more travel and an even smoother ride no matter the tongue weight. You will need an inflator to dial it in. The airbag is a wear item over many years, though you can swap it in the field. This is the pick for daily towers and heavy-haul operators who want to fine-tune the ride.
Built for the Job Site
On a working ranch, a remote job site, or a busy fleet yard, you do not always have a spare minute to check air pressure before you pull out. The Impact Max 20K takes that step off your list. Hook up, pull, unhook, and do it again, for years, with no maintenance routine to keep up. If you want Shocker capacity and ride quality but you want to treat the hitch like any other piece of fleet gear, this is the line for you.
Same Attachments as the HD Max Black
The Impact Max 20K takes the same ball mount attachments as the HD Max Black, including combo balls, pintle hooks, clevises, drawbars, raised mounts, and drop mounts. Run a few trucks across the Shocker lineup and your attachments carry over across the 20K family, so you can standardize on one set. The textured matte black powder coat holds up to UV, road salt, and rock chips, and every hitch ships from stock in Canada, so there is no border wait.
