I've ridden in the trailer myself — the difference in shock is huge. Our horses come off so much more relaxed, and there's less wear on the truck and trailer too.

Adjustable Pintle Hook & Ball Mount

Fits 6" OD x 3" ID pintle rings, with an adjustable design offering a 1" rise to 6-1/2" drop and 7 adjustment holes for flexibility in height.

HD Pivoting Design

Filters the rock shock through the urethane cushions with the greaseable 1" diameter 1045 carbon steel pivot bolt.

Unique Flip Around Design

Hitch can be flipped around more drop or rise. The only cushion hitch on the market that can be flipped around.

Dual Cushion Bump System

Absorbs road shock, bumps, and jerks, reducing sway and providing a smoother towing experience. Cushions forward & backwards plus up & down for maximum cushioning.

Stop destroying your trailer and cargo.

Every bump, pothole, and expansion joint sends a violent jolt through your trailer frame, damaging cargo and wearing out your truck. Shocker Air Ride Hitches absorb that punishment at the coupling, before it reaches your trailer.

Drag 20,000 pounds of dump trailer or equipment hauler behind a 1-ton and you feel every frost heave and hard stop punch straight through the truck. That constant chucking wears on your back, your trailer, and whatever you have chained down in the bed. The Shocker Impact Max 20K takes the hit for you. Two sealed rubber bump cushions soak up the shock through compression and rebound, so the load stops trying to shove the truck around on every bump and brake. This Impact Max Cushion Hitch & 8-Ton Channel Style Pintle Hook with 2" Ball hauls the full 20,000 lbs GTW with up to 2,000 lb tongue weight, slides into any 2-inch receiver, and adjusts from a 1" rise down to a 6-1/2" drop for a level tow. It runs the same cushion design as the lighter Impact Cushion 14K, built on the heavier 20K chassis and finished in matte black powder coat, with no air pressure to check and nothing to maintain.

Key Highlights

  • Hauls the full 20,000 lbs GTW with up to 2,000 lb tongue weight, the heaviest trailers a 1-ton will pull
  • Two sealed rubber cushions soak up the road shock, with no air pressure to check and nothing to maintain
  • Matte black powder coat that shrugs off rock chips and road grime and blacks out clean with modern trucks
  • 2-inch shank slides into F-150-class half-ton receivers and class III/IV receivers
  • 7-hole adjustable frame flips over to give you more drop or more rise for a level hookup
  • Takes the same ball mount attachments as the HD Max Black lineup, so one set of attachments works across trucks
  • Runs roughly 30 to 40% less than the HD Max Black 20K air-ride version
  • Built for 1-ton pickups and dual-rear-wheel trucks pulling right at the 20K limit

Why a 20K Cushion Hitch

Capacity a 1-Ton Actually Needs

The lighter 14K Impact Cushion handles half-tons and plenty of 3/4-tons just fine. Once you are dragging skid steers, dump trailers, and heavy equipment haulers behind a 1-ton, the loads outgrow that frame. The 20K chassis gives you the same cushion technology on heavier-duty steel rated for the job.

Two Cushions Between You and the Load

A solid steel mount passes every jolt straight to the truck. The Impact Max puts two sealed rubber cushions in the path instead, absorbing the shock as they compress and rebound. The ball mount pivots on those cushions, so the ride stays smoother than a rigid mount even when you are loaded right to full GTW.

Finish That Hides the Miles

The textured matte black powder coat hides road grime, fights off chips, and matches the blacked-out look of modern trucks. It comes from the same finish family as the HD Max Black air-ride line.

Nothing to Pump Up

Air-ride hitches at this capacity need a compressor and a pressure gauge. The Impact Max 20K is sealed, so there is no compressor to haul and no gauge to read. On a remote job site or out on the ranch where a compressor is not always handy, that is one less thing to worry about.

Built For These Trucks and Trailers

Twenty thousand pounds is a serious load. The Impact Max is built for the trucks and trailers that pull it, without any air-ride routine to keep up with.

  • 1-ton pickups like the F-350, RAM 3500, and GMC 3500HD
  • Dual-rear-wheel trucks loaded to full GTW
  • Skid steer trailers, dump trailers, and equipment haulers
  • Contractor and ranch trailers pulling at or near 20,000 lbs
  • Fleet trucks where simple and tough beats adjustable
  • Owners stepping up from the Impact Cushion 14K who ran out of capacity

Impact Max 20K vs HD Max Black 20K

Same 20K chassis family, same matte black finish. The only real difference is how each one softens the ride.

Option 1

Impact Max 20K (this product)

Sealed rubber cushions that never need maintenance. About 30 to 40% cheaper, with no compressor or pressure gauge to bother with. Grab this one if you want a real ride upgrade over a solid mount and would rather keep things simple than fuss with air.

Option 2

HD Max Black 20K (air-ride sibling)

An adjustable airbag you can tune to any load for more travel and a smoother ride at any tongue weight. It needs an inflator, and the airbag is a wear item over the years, though you can swap it in the field. This is the pick for daily towers and heavy-haul operators who want to dial in the ride.

Built for the Job Site

On a working ranch, a remote job site, or a fleet yard, you do not always have a minute to check airbag pressure before you roll. The Impact Max 20K takes that step off your list. Hook up, pull, unhook, and do it again for years with no maintenance routine to keep. If you want Shocker capacity and ride quality but want to treat the hitch like any other tough piece of fleet gear, this is the one built for you.

One Set of Attachments Across Your Trucks

The Impact Max 20K takes the same ball mount attachments as the HD Max Black, including combo balls, pintle hooks, clevises, drawbars, raised mounts, and drop mounts. If you run more than one truck in the Shocker lineup, those attachments swap across the whole 20K family, so you buy one set instead of a drawer full. The textured matte black powder coat stands up to UV, road salt, and rock chips, and every hitch ships from stock in Canada, so there is no border wait.
