Option 3

Air Equalizer (Travel Trailer)

Patent-Pending Forward-and-Back Motion

The Shocker Air Ride Kingpin Box is the only 5th-wheel pin box on the market with air ride that works exclusively in this forward-and-back direction. The built-in air bag absorbs chucking before it reaches the camper interior. What's Different From the Gooseneck Conversion

This is a kingpin replacement pin box — no gooseneck coupler is involved. The Shocker air ride hitch portion is built INTO the pin box and engages the existing kingpin head on your in-bed 5th-wheel hitch. No truck-bed gooseneck ball needed. No safety chains required for kingpin towing (chains are only required for gooseneck). Your truck bed stays occupied by your 5th-wheel hitch, which is the trade-off for the lower price and simpler upgrade path.

Installation

Moderate — Some Experience~90 minutes

Support the front of the camper with a floor jack. Remove the factory 5th-wheel kingpin pin box (typically 6-8 bolts). Lift the new Shocker air ride kingpin box into place and reuse the factory bolts to fasten. Inflate the air bag to your starting pressure. Hook up to your existing 5th-wheel hitch as you normally would.

Tools needed:

Socket wrench set (3/4" and larger) · Floor jack to support the front of the camper · Two adults recommended · Tire-style air pump for initial inflation
