Up to 7" Trailer Frames

Clamp-on brackets fit up to 4" to 7" tall and 1.5 to 2" wide trailer frames.

Stop destroying your trailer and cargo.

Every bump, pothole, and expansion joint sends a violent jolt through your trailer frame, damaging cargo and wearing out your truck. Shocker Air Ride Hitches absorb that punishment at the coupling, before it reaches your trailer.

Hook up a heavy trailer and you feel it right away. The back of the truck squats, the headlights aim at the treetops, the front tires go light, and the steering turns vague. Add a crosswind or a passing semi and the trailer starts to wander. This Shocker Hitch Pro Round Bar weight distribution system fixes that. The tapered spring bars take the load sitting on your ball and push it back across both axles of the truck and the trailer, so the rig sits level and the front wheels bite again for real steering and braking. It's a Class IV setup rated for 1,200 lb tongue weight and up to 12,000 lb gross trailer weight, built for the pickup or SUV that just can't carry that much weight hanging off the back. Always check your own vehicle's tow rating before you buy so you land on the setup that fits your load.

Key Highlights

  • Handles up to 12,000 lb: rated for a 6,000 to 12,000 lb gross trailer weight range, so a heavy trailer rides balanced instead of dragging the tail down.
  • Distributes the weight: when your pickup or SUV can't carry the tongue weight alone, the bars spread it across both the truck's and trailer's axles for steadier, more controlled towing.
  • Levels the ride: pulls the nose-down squat out so both the truck and the trailer sit flat down the road.
  • Fits up to 7" frames: clamp-on brackets grab trailer frames 4" to 7" tall and 1.5" to 2" wide.
  • Ready for sway control: the hitch head has sway bar mount tabs, so you can add friction sway arm bar kits (sold separately) when you want extra bite against wander.
  • 2-5/16" ball, ready to hook: ships with the 2-5/16" ball preinstalled and torqued to spec, so you're not fighting it in the driveway.
  • 8.5" deep-drop shank: fits a 2" receiver and drops far enough to reach the coupler on today's taller trucks.
  • Built heavy: high-strength steel head on a welded hitch bar that takes the abuse.

What It Fits

  • 8.5" deep-drop shank for a 2" receiver: drops far enough to reach the coupler on today's taller trucks.
  • Fits 2-5/16" ball couplers: works with both top-mount and bottom-mount couplers.

Specs & Features

  • Handles up to 12,000 lb GTW: rated for a 6,000 lb minimum to a 12,000 lb maximum gross trailer weight, so a heavy load stays balanced.
  • Distributes the weight: when your pickup or SUV can't carry the trailer's tongue weight on its own, the bars spread that load evenly across the truck's and trailer's axles for stability and control.
  • Levels the load: pulls out the nose-down squat so both the truck and the trailer ride flat.
  • Fits up to 7" trailer frames: clamp-on brackets grab frames 4" to 7" tall and 1.5" to 2" wide.
  • Ready for sway bars: the hitch head has sway bar mount tabs, so you can add friction sway arm bar kits (sold separately) for extra sway control.
  • 2-5/16" ball included: comes with the 2-5/16" hitch ball preinstalled and torqued to proper spec.
  • Built heavy duty: high-strength steel head on a welded hitch bar.
  • Black powder coat finish: durable, corrosion-resistant coating that holds up to weather and road spray.
  • Upgrade options: this unit is made in China and is designed to work with the Shocker Air Ride Equalizer and friction sway arm bar kits (both sold separately).
  • Includes the following:
  • 2-5/16" hitch ball and hitch head with sway bar mount tabs.
  • Tapered spring load bars.
  • Deep-drop shank for a 2" receiver.
  • Load control brackets.
  • Lift-assist bar for hooking up the load bars.
  • All the hardware you need to install it.

When You Need Weight Distribution

New to this? A weight distribution hitch takes the trailer's tongue weight off the back of the truck and pushes part of it onto the front axle, which brings the ride back level and puts the steering feel back in your hands. You want one once your tongue weight climbs past about 10% of the truck's payload rating.
