Simple Pivot Design

Uses a rocker arm pivot design which produces a front and back motion, much different than other cushion hitches on the market.

Fits Pickup Trucks Only

This is designed for pulling with a Pickup Truck – it will not work with SUV/CUV’s with coil over springs in the rear.

Absorbs Road Shock

Air equalizer absorbs the road shock & cushion the ride when towing a camper with a weight-distribution hitch

Must be used with Shocker

XR Hitch to fit into tow rear vehicle along with a WD hitch to work.

Stop destroying your trailer and cargo.

Every bump, pothole, and expansion joint sends a violent jolt through your trailer frame, damaging cargo and wearing out your truck. Shocker Air Ride Hitches absorb that punishment at the coupling, before it reaches your trailer.

A rigid weight-distribution setup levels the load fine, but every frost heave and hard stop still slams straight up the bars, into the truck, and back through the trailer. You feel it in your hands, and your camper feels it in every screw and seam. The Shocker Air Equalizer sits between your WD hitch and the road and takes that beating for you. Built-in air ride and four bump cushions push the jolts into an internal air spring bag instead of your rig, so the ride settles down and you climb out less worn out at the end of the day. It runs with the Shocker XR Hitch and a compatible weight-distribution head (you need the XR in the receiver for it to work), and it handles trailers up to 12,000 lbs. Less pounding on the truck, less rattling on the trailer, and a hookup that stays composed when the road doesn't.

Key Highlights

  • Runs with the Shocker XR Hitch and a WD hitch. You need the XR in the receiver for the Air Equalizer to work.
  • Soaks up road shock and cushions the ride when you're towing a camper on a weight-distribution hitch.
  • Rated for real campers: 12,000 lbs gross trailer weight and 1,200 lbs tongue weight.
  • Built for pickup trucks. It will not work on SUVs or CUVs with coil-over springs in the rear.
  • Built-in air ride plus four bump cushions send the road shock into the air spring bag instead of your hands. Dial in height and firmness by adding or releasing air to match your trailer and its load.
  • Bolts to Shocker WD hitches and most major heads: Fastway E2, Equalizer, Reese, Husky, Pro Series, Torklift, Blue OX, Camco Eaz Lift & Curt round bar, Curt trutrack & trunnion head. Measure your head first: it fits 2-1/2″ or 3-3/4″ center-to-center bolt patterns. It does not fit Anderson chain style or B&W Continuum.
  • A rocker-arm pivot lets it work front-to-back, a different motion than the cushion hitches most people have tried.

What It Fits

  • Pickup trucks only. It will not work on SUVs or CUVs that use coil-over springs in the rear.
  • Bolts to Shocker WD hitches and most major weight-distribution heads: Fastway E2, Equalizer, Reese, Husky, Pro Series, Torklift, Blue OX, Camco Eaz Lift & Curt round bar, Curt trutrack & trunnion head. Measure your head first: the air equalizer fits heads with a 2-1/2″ or 3-3/4″ center-to-center bolt hole pattern. It does not work with Anderson chain style or B&W Continuum weight-distribution hitches.

What It Does On the Road

  • Works only with the Shocker XR Hitch in your receiver, paired with a WD hitch. No XR, no ride.
  • Soaks up road shock and cushions the ride when you're towing a camper on a weight-distribution hitch.
  • Built for heavy campers: 12,000 lbs gross trailer weight and 1,200 lbs of tongue weight.
  • Built-in air ride plus four bump cushions route the road shock through the air spring bag for a smoother pull. It has built-in height adjustment and is weight adjustable, so you add or release air to match the trailer and everything loaded in it.
  • A rocker-arm pivot gives it a front-and-back motion, which works differently than the other cushion hitches on the market.

When You Need Weight Distribution

When the tongue weight rides heavy, it squats the back of the truck, lifts the front, and lightens your steering right when you want it planted. A weight-distribution hitch shifts that tongue weight back onto the truck's front axle, so the rig sits level and steers straight. Plan on one once tongue weight climbs past about 10% of the truck's payload rating.
