Stop destroying your trailer and cargo.
Every bump, pothole, and expansion joint sends a violent jolt through your trailer frame, damaging cargo and wearing out your truck. Shocker Air Ride Hitches absorb that punishment at the coupling, before it reaches your trailer.
Bolted on with a solid drawbar, every jolt the road hands your truck runs straight up the driveline and back into the trailer. Frost heaves, expansion joints, washboard gravel, and hard stops all chuck the load around and grind away at the truck, the trailer, and whatever you're hauling. The Original Shocker Air Hitch is the red-powder-coat 14K workhorse that fixed that and started the air-ride hitch category. It drops into a 2-1/2-inch receiver on F-250 / RAM 2500-class three-quarter-ton trucks (class V receivers) and hauls up to 14,000 lbs GTW on Shocker's standard 8-hole chassis, with the air bag soaking up the shock before it ever reaches you. Built for stock-suspension full-size pickups pulling livestock, boats, travel trailers, and contractor cargo on the highway and the gravel road alike.

How Shocker Air Ride Works
Built-In Air Spring
A heavy-duty air bag sits under the receiver tube and takes the jerking, tugging, and impact hits so your truck and trailer don't. There's no solid connection passing the shock straight through, so the load stays settled instead of slamming against the back of the cab.
Adjustable for Any Load
Pull a heavy stock trailer today and a light boat tomorrow. Add air for the heavy loads and let some out for the light ones, so the hitch sits at the right ride height every time you hook up.
Rocker-Arm Pivot
Shocker's signature down-and-back motion runs on a single pivot, with no slides, rollers, parallel linkages, or stacked airbags to wear out. Fewer moving parts means less to fail and a longer service life.
Dual Bump Cushions
Nail a pothole hard enough to bottom out the air bag and two backup rubber cushions catch the extreme jolt. It's a built-in safety margin for the worst hits the road throws at you.
Who Buys the Original 14K
Built for stock-suspension full-size trucks pulling mid-weight bumper-pull loads on real-world roads.
- Livestock and stock-trailer haulers pounding gravel and section roads
- Boat owners crossing rough launch ramps and concrete-slab highways
- Travel-trailer and toy-hauler owners who want a smoother ride up front
- Contractors pulling cargo, equipment, or enclosed work trailers
- RV motorhome owners with a 2-1/2-inch receiver under the bumper
- Anyone on an F-250 / RAM 2500-class three-quarter-ton truck (class V receiver) who wants the original red-finish workhorse
Sway Control: Two Configurations
Depending on the ball-mount attachment you pick, the Original line ships with or without sway-control tabs:
Standard Ball Mount (No Sway Tabs)
Best for boats, livestock trailers, equipment haulers, and any load that doesn't need friction sway bars. The pivoting air-ride design already cuts down on sway tendency on its own.
Ball Mount With Welded Sway Tabs
Adds welded mounting tabs for friction sway-bar kits (sold separately). Go this route for travel trailers and tall-profile campers that catch crosswind and start to wander.
Flip It for Drop or Rise
A trailer that rides nose-up or nose-down drags wrong, chews tires, and hauls badly. This Shocker Air Hitch & Drawbar Mount ships in a 1/2" to 4-1/2" Drop ball-mount configuration, and most Shocker ball mounts are reversible, so you can flip the mount to turn drop into rise or use the 8 adjustment holes to fine-tune coupler height. Low travel trailer behind a lifted truck or tall camper behind a stock pickup, the geometry adapts to sit it level.
Built to Last
This part lives out in the weather and takes a beating, so it's built from heavy-wall steel and finished in Shocker's impact-resistant safety-red powder coat. It's in stock and ships direct from Canada, no border wait. The air bag is the same multi-ply rubber found in commercial truck air suspensions and is field-replaceable in minutes. Backed by Shocker Hitch's 60-day satisfaction guarantee.
