Stop destroying your trailer and cargo.
Every bump, pothole, and expansion joint sends a violent jolt through your trailer frame, damaging cargo and wearing out your truck. Shocker Air Ride Hitches absorb that punishment at the coupling, before it reaches your trailer.
Every jolt the road throws at a hard-mounted drawbar runs straight up into your truck and back into your trailer. Frost heaves, expansion joints, washboard gravel, and hard stops all pass through a solid hitch and hammer your driveline, your trailer welds, and whatever you've got loaded. The Original Shocker Air Hitch is the red-powder-coat workhorse that fixed that, and it started the whole air-ride hitch category. It carries 14,000 lbs GTW (the heaviest trailer you'll put behind an F-150-class half-ton) on Shocker's standard 8-hole chassis, and it drops into any 2-inch receiver rated class III/IV. Built for stock-suspension full-size pickups pulling livestock, boats, travel trailers, and contractor cargo on highways and gravel roads alike, it soaks up the shock before it ever reaches you.

How Shocker Air Ride Works
The Air Bag Takes the Hit
A heavy-duty air bag sits under the receiver tube and swallows the jerking, tugging, and impact before any of it reaches your truck or trailer. There is no hard connection to pass the shock through.
Set It for the Load You're Pulling
Add air for a heavy trailer, let some out for a light one. Dial in the pressure and the hitch sits at the right ride height every time you hook up.
One Simple Pivot
Shocker's signature down-and-back motion rides on a single pivot, with no slides, rollers, parallel linkages, or stacked airbags. Fewer moving parts means a longer service life.
A Backup for the Big Hits
Two rubber bump cushions catch the extreme jolts the air bag can't fully absorb, giving you a redundant safety margin when the road really hammers you.
Who Runs the Original 14K
Built for stock-suspension full-size trucks pulling mid-weight bumper-pull loads on real-world roads.
- Livestock and stock-trailer haulers pounding gravel and section roads
- Boat owners on rough launch ramps and slab-concrete highways
- Travel-trailer and toy-hauler owners who want a calmer cab
- Contractors hauling cargo, equipment, and enclosed work trailers
- RV motorhome owners with a 2-inch receiver under the bumper
- Anyone on an F-150-class half-ton truck (or class III/IV receiver) who wants the original red workhorse
Two Sway-Control Setups
The Original line ships with or without sway-control tabs, depending on the ball-mount attachment you pick:
Standard Ball Mount (No Sway Tabs)
Best for boats, livestock trailers, equipment haulers, and any load that doesn't need friction sway bars. The pivoting air-ride design already cuts down sway on its own.
Ball Mount With Welded Sway Tabs
Adds welded mounting tabs for a friction sway-bar kit (sold separately). Go this route for travel trailers and tall-profile campers that catch crosswind and start to sway.
Flip It From Drop to Rise
This Shocker Air Hitch & Drawbar Mount ships in a 1/2" to 4-1/2" Drop ball-mount setup. Most Shocker ball mounts flip over, so you can turn that drop into a rise, and the 8 adjustment holes let you fine-tune coupler height on top of that. Towing a low travel trailer behind a lifted truck or a tall camper behind a stock pickup, the geometry adapts either way.
Built to Take a Beating
Heavy-wall steel construction with Shocker's signature impact-resistant safety-red powder coat, in stock and shipping from Canada, so there's no border wait. The air bag is the same multi-ply rubber used in commercial truck air suspensions, and you can swap it in the field in minutes. Backed by Shocker Hitch's 60-day satisfaction guarantee.
