How Shocker Air Ride Works
Built-In Air Spring
A heavy-duty air bag sits under the receiver tube and soaks up the jerking, tugging, and impact from the road before any of it reaches your truck or trailer. There's no hard metal-to-metal link passing shock straight through.
Adjustable for Any Load
Add air when you're loaded heavy, let some out when you're running light. You set the pressure so the hitch sits at the right ride height every time you hook up.
Rocker-Arm Pivot

Sway Control: Two Configurations
The Original line ships with or without sway-control tabs, depending on the ball-mount attachment you pick:
Standard Ball Mount (No Sway Tabs)
Best for boats, livestock trailers, equipment haulers, and anything that doesn't need friction sway bars. The pivoting air-ride design already cuts down sway tendency on its own.
Ball Mount With Welded Sway Tabs
Adds welded tabs for a friction sway-bar kit (sold separately). Go this route for travel trailers and tall-profile campers that get pushed around by crosswind.
Flippable Drop / Rise Geometry
This Shocker Air Hitch & Drop Ball Mount w/ 2-5/16" Ball ships in a 4-1/2" to 8-1/2" Drop configuration. Most Shocker ball mounts are reversible, so you can flip the mount to turn drop into rise, or use the 8 adjustment holes to fine-tune coupler height. Tow a low travel trailer behind a lifted truck or a tall camper behind a stock pickup, and the geometry adapts to get you sitting level.
