Stop destroying your trailer and cargo.
Every bump, pothole, and expansion joint sends a violent jolt through your trailer frame, damaging cargo and wearing out your truck. Shocker Air Ride Hitches absorb that punishment at the coupling, before it reaches your trailer.
You feel it every time the road turns rough. The jerk at the hitch when you hit a frost heave, the chucking back and forth in stop-and-go traffic, the way a hard stop shoves the trailer into the back of your truck. That constant tug wears on your driveline, your trailer welds, and everything you're hauling, and it beats up the ride in the cab. The Shocker Air Channel Style Pintle & Ball Hitch puts a heavy-duty air spring between your truck and trailer to soak up that shock before it reaches either one. It's the original red-powder-coat 14K workhorse that started the air-ride hitch category, rated for 14,000 lbs GTW on Shocker's standard 8-hole chassis. It drops into the 2-inch receiver on F-150-class half-ton trucks (and class III/IV receivers), and it's built for stock-suspension full-size pickups hauling livestock, boats, travel trailers, and contractor cargo on highways and gravel roads alike.
Key Highlights

- Add or release air to dial in the right ride height for whatever trailer you're pulling that day

- 3″ Drop to 7″ Drop ball-mount geometry so you can level the trailer instead of towing it nose-up or nose-down

How Shocker Air Ride Works
Built-In Air Spring
A heavy-duty air bag sits under the receiver tube and soaks up the jerks, tugs, and impacts before they ever reach your truck or trailer. There's no rigid metal-to-metal connection passing the shock straight through.
Adjustable for Any Load
Add air when you're loaded heavy, let some out when you're running light. Set the pressure so the hitch sits at the right ride height every single time you hook up.
Rocker-Arm Pivot
Shocker's signature down-and-back motion runs on one simple pivot, with no slides, rollers, parallel linkages, or stacked airbags. Fewer parts moving means less to wear out and a longer service life.
Dual Bump Cushions
Two backup rubber cushions catch the worst jolts the air bag can't fully swallow, so there's a built-in safety margin when you hit something hard.
Who Runs the Original 14K
Built for stock-suspension full-size trucks pulling mid-weight bumper-pull loads on the roads you actually drive.
- Livestock and stock-trailer haulers pounding gravel and section roads
- Boat owners crossing rough launch ramps and slab-concrete highways
- Travel-trailer and toy-hauler owners who want a calmer ride in the cab
- Contractors pulling cargo, equipment, or enclosed work trailers
- RV motorhome owners with a 2-inch receiver under the bumper
- Anyone on an F-150-class half-ton truck (and class III/IV receivers) who wants the original red-finish workhorse
Sway Control: Two Configurations
The Original line comes with or without sway-control tabs, depending on the ball-mount attachment you choose:
Standard Ball Mount (No Sway Tabs)
Best for boats, livestock trailers, equipment haulers, and any load that doesn't need friction sway bars. The pivoting air-ride design already helps settle sway on its own.
Ball Mount With Welded Sway Tabs
Adds welded tabs so you can bolt on a friction sway-bar kit (sold separately). Go this route for travel trailers and tall-profile campers that catch crosswinds and start to wander.
Flippable Drop / Rise Geometry
This Shocker Air Channel Style Pintle & Ball Hitch ships in a 3″ Drop to 7″ Drop ball-mount configuration. Most Shocker ball mounts flip over, so you can turn drop into rise, and the 8 adjustment holes let you fine-tune coupler height. Towing a low travel trailer behind a lifted truck or a tall camper behind a stock pickup, the geometry adapts to sit you level either way.
Built to Last
Heavy-wall steel under Shocker's signature impact-resistant safety-red powder coat, in stock and shipping direct from Canada with no border wait. The air bag is the same multi-ply rubber used in commercial truck air suspensions, and when it finally wears you can swap it in the field in minutes. Backed by Shocker Hitch's 60-day satisfaction guarantee.
