Stop destroying your trailer and cargo.
Every bump, pothole, and expansion joint sends a violent jolt through your trailer frame, damaging cargo and wearing out your truck. Shocker Air Ride Hitches absorb that punishment at the coupling, before it reaches your trailer.
You feel it in every frost heave and hard stop. A solid drawbar passes the road straight through to your truck and right back to your trailer, jerking, tugging, and chucking your cargo the whole way. The Original Shocker Air Hitch is the red-powder-coat 14K workhorse that put a stop to that, and it's the hitch that started the whole air-ride category. It carries 14,000 lbs GTW with up to 1,400 lbs of tongue weight on Shocker's standard 8-hole chassis, and its 2-inch shank drops into F-150-class half-ton trucks (and class III/IV receivers). Whether you've hauled for decades or you're buying your first real trailer, it puts an adjustable air cushion between the truck and the load so livestock, boats, travel trailers, and contractor cargo ride easier on highways and gravel roads alike, straight off a stock suspension.

How Shocker Air Ride Works
An Air Cushion Doing the Work
A heavy-duty air bag sits under the receiver tube and soaks up the jerking, tugging, and impact before any of it reaches your truck or trailer. There is no hard steel-to-steel connection to pass the shock through.
Set It for the Load You're Pulling
Add air for a heavy trailer, bleed it off for a light one. Dial in the pressure and the hitch sits at the right ride height every time you hook up, so you are never over-sprung or under-sprung.
One Pivot, Not a Pile of Parts
Shocker's signature down-and-back motion rides on a single pivot, with no slides, rollers, parallel linkages, or stacked airbags. Fewer parts in motion means fewer parts to wear out, so it holds up over the long haul.
A Backup for the Big Hits
Two rubber bump cushions catch the extreme jolts the air bag cannot fully swallow, giving you a redundant safety margin when the road throws its worst at you.
Who Buys the Original 14K
Built for stock-suspension full-size trucks pulling mid-weight bumper-pull loads on the roads you actually drive.
- Livestock haulers pounding gravel and section roads all season
- Boat owners fighting rough launch ramps and slab-concrete highways
- Travel-trailer and toy-hauler owners who want a calmer cab
- Contractors towing cargo, equipment, or enclosed work trailers
- RV motorhome owners with a 2-inch receiver under the bumper
- Anyone on F-150-class half-ton trucks (and class III/IV receivers) who wants the original red-finish workhorse
Sway Control: Two Configurations
The Original ships with or without sway-control tabs, depending on the ball-mount attachment you pick:
Standard Ball Mount (No Sway Tabs)
Right for boats, livestock trailers, equipment haulers, and anything that doesn't need friction sway bars. The pivoting air-ride motion already cuts down on the wag on its own.
Ball Mount With Welded Sway Tabs
Comes with welded tabs to bolt on a friction sway-bar kit (sold separately). The pick for travel trailers and tall-profile campers that get shoved around by crosswinds and passing semis.
Flip It for Drop or Rise
This Shocker Air Channel Style Pintle & Ball Hitch ships set up as a 3″ Drop to 7″ Drop ball mount. Most Shocker ball mounts flip right over, so you can turn drop into rise, and the 8 adjustment holes let you fine-tune coupler height in between. Tow a low travel trailer behind a lifted truck or a tall camper behind a stock pickup, and the geometry adapts either way.
Built to Last
Heavy-wall steel under a coat of Shocker's impact-resistant safety-red powder, in stock and shipping direct from Canada with no border wait. The air bag is the same multi-ply rubber found in commercial truck air suspensions, and you can swap it in the field in minutes. It's backed by Shocker Hitch's 60-day satisfaction guarantee.
