Stop destroying your trailer and cargo.
Every bump, pothole, and expansion joint sends a violent jolt through your trailer frame, damaging cargo and wearing out your truck. Shocker Air Ride Hitches absorb that punishment at the coupling, before it reaches your trailer.
You feel every frost heave and hard stop right through the hitch. The trailer yanks the truck, the truck yanks back, and after a long haul on gravel and slab highway your spine, your rig, and your cargo all pay for it. The Original Shocker Air Hitch is the red 14K workhorse that started air-ride towing, and it puts a stop to that abuse. A 2-1/2-inch shank drops into F-250 / RAM 2500-class three-quarter-ton trucks (class V receivers), and this Shocker Air Hitch & Raised Ball Mount w/ 2" Ball hauls up to 14,000 lbs GTW on Shocker's standard 8-hole chassis. Built for stock-suspension full-size pickups pulling livestock, boats, travel trailers, and contractor cargo, on the interstate and the section road alike.

How Shocker Air Ride Works
Built-In Air Spring
A heavy-duty air bag under the receiver tube soaks up the jerking, tugging, and hard hits before they ever reach your truck or trailer. There is no rigid steel connection passing shock straight through.
Adjustable for Any Load
Pump in air for a heavy load or bleed some off for a light one. Set the pressure so the hitch sits at the right ride height every single time you hook up.
Rocker-Arm Pivot
Shocker's signature down-and-back motion rides on a single pivot, with no slides, rollers, parallel linkages, or stacked airbags. Fewer parts moving means fewer parts to wear out.
Dual Bump Cushions
Two backup rubber cushions catch the extreme jolts the air bag cannot fully swallow, so the system always has a second line of defense under a heavy hit.
Who Buys the Original 14K
Built for stock-suspension full-size trucks pulling mid-weight bumper-pull loads on real-world roads.
- Livestock haulers pounding gravel and section roads
- Boat owners on rough launch ramps and slab-concrete highways
- Travel-trailer and toy-hauler owners after a smoother ride up front
- Contractors moving cargo, equipment, or enclosed work trailers
- RV motorhome owners with a 2-1/2-inch receiver under the bumper
- Anyone running F-250 / RAM 2500-class three-quarter-ton trucks (class V receivers) who wants the original red-finish workhorse
Sway Control: Two Configurations
The Original line ships with or without sway-control tabs, depending on the ball-mount attachment you pick:
Standard Ball Mount (No Sway Tabs)
Right for boats, livestock trailers, equipment haulers, and any load that does not need friction sway bars. The pivoting air-ride design already cuts down on sway tendency on its own.
Ball Mount With Welded Sway Tabs
Adds welded tabs for a friction sway-bar kit (sold separately). The pick for travel trailers and tall-profile campers that catch a crosswind and start to wander.
Flippable Drop / Rise Geometry
This Shocker Air Hitch & Raised Ball Mount w/ 2" Ball ships in a 2" Rise to 2" Drop configuration. Most Shocker ball mounts flip right over, so you can turn drop into rise, and the 8 adjustment holes let you fine-tune coupler height on top of that. Tow a low travel trailer behind a lifted truck or a tall camper behind a stock pickup, and you can set it to sit level either way.
Built to Last
Heavy-wall steel takes the abuse, and Shocker's impact-resistant safety-red powder coat keeps it looking sharp through chips and rock rash. It is in stock and ships direct from Canada, so there is no border wait. The air bag is the same multi-ply rubber used in commercial truck air suspensions, and you can swap it in the field in minutes. Backed by Shocker Hitch's 60-day satisfaction guarantee.
