Stop destroying your trailer and cargo.
Every bump, pothole, and expansion joint sends a violent jolt through your trailer frame, damaging cargo and wearing out your truck. Shocker Air Ride Hitches absorb that punishment at the coupling, before it reaches your trailer.
A worn hitch ball puts play in the whole connection. Your coupler rides on this ball every mile, and once it gets pitted or loose it starts to rattle, adds slop behind the truck, and wears at both the ball and the coupler. This Shocker 2" chrome ball drops in as a fresh, solid seat for your coupler. The 1-1/4" diameter shank bolts in with the included lock washer and nut, so it's a straightforward swap with hand tools. It's rated to tow 10,000 lbs with 1,000 lbs of tongue weight, and it's built to work with Shocker Air Receiver Hitches and Shocker XR, XRC, and impact ball mounts. When to Swap in a Fresh Ball
If your sway-control arm has worked the ball loose or chewed up the mini-ball seat on your trailer, the sway control loses its grip and the trailer starts to wander. Drop in a fresh one and it grabs like new again. This is the same ball used in the SH-1001 sway control system, so it seats right back where the old one was.
