Stop destroying your trailer and cargo.
Every bump, pothole, and expansion joint sends a violent jolt through your trailer frame, damaging cargo and wearing out your truck. Shocker Air Ride Hitches absorb that punishment at the coupling, before it reaches your trailer.
Back a gooseneck into a tight campsite or stockyard with a short-bed truck and you know the sweat. The trailer nose swings toward your back glass and your cab corners come up fast. This hitch fixes that. It rides on the same 30,000 lb surge-air gooseneck chassis as our Standard 30K, but the Demco EZ Latch coupler sits 9 inches forward of the factory spot, so tight turns keep the trailer nose clear of your cab. The square-4-5-inch stem drops into your factory inner stem's place in minutes, and the air ride soaks up the forward-back jerk on every stop and start.

Why a 9-Inch Offset Matters
On a short-bed pickup (usually a 5.5 or 6.5 ft bed), a standard gooseneck coupler sits close enough to the cab that tight turns pull the trailer nose right up to your back glass and cab corners. Backing into a campsite, threading a stockyard, jackknifing in a tight driveway, that is exactly where it bites. The 9-inch offset carries the coupler 9 inches farther forward than a standard gooseneck sits, handing back the turning room that long-bed trucks get from the factory. You keep gooseneck stability and air-ride smoothness, and you keep the maneuverability of your short-bed truck.
Air Ride Without the Cab-Clearance Compromise
9-Inch Forward Reach
The forged extension arm sets the Demco EZ Latch coupler 9 inches ahead of a standard gooseneck, so the trailer clears your cab through tight turns and jackknifes.
The Airbag That Kills the Jerk
Same patented surge-air setup as the Standard 30K. An air spring soaks up the forward-back jerk between your truck bed and the trailer stem, the yank you feel on every stop and start.
Full 30,000 lb Rating, No Penalty
The 9-inch extension is engineered to carry the full 30,000 lb tow rating and 6,000 lb tongue weight. The extra reach costs you nothing in capacity.
Air You Can Tune
Add air for a heavy load, bleed it off when you run empty. Dial the ride to the trip, whether that is a fully loaded horse trailer or an empty deadhead home.

Coupler Choice: Demco EZ Latch or Shift Lock
Both couplers hold the full 30,000 lb rating. The Demco EZ Latch is the one that ships with this kit.
Demco EZ Latch
Drop onto your 2-5/16-inch ball and it latches on its own. Single-side capture, and you lift the handle to release. The one most people run, and it is what ships in this kit.
Shift Lock
Patented dual-side capture, the only gooseneck coupler that grips the ball from both sides. A visual indicator tells you it is locked at a glance, and it carries a slightly higher 7K tongue weight rating.
Swaps Your Stem, No Cutting
This replaces your stem and coupler outright instead of bolting an adapter onto what you already have. The square-4-5-inch stem slides into your trailer's outer tube right where the factory inner stem sits now, re-pins through your existing height holes, and carries the air ride and 9-inch extension up top. Most people have it in and towing in under an hour with no welding, drilling, or cutting.
