Raised Ball Mount Design

Raised ball mount attachment design is often used when towing camper trailers with 1/2 pickups.

Up to 20,000 lbs GTW Towing Capacity

20,000 lbs tow & 2,000 lbs tongue weight. (GTW depends on ball that is attached)

Rise & Drop Range

2″ rise to 2″ of drop for Air Bumper Hitches. 5″ rise to 3″ drop on Impact Cushion Hitches. 7″ rise to 5″ drop on Shocker XR hitches.

Stop destroying your trailer and cargo.

Every bump, pothole, and expansion joint sends a violent jolt through your trailer frame, damaging cargo and wearing out your truck. Shocker Air Ride Hitches absorb that punishment at the coupling, before it reaches your trailer.

When your trailer rides too low behind the truck, the whole rig fights you: the nose digs in, the tires scrub, and every frost heave and hard stop gets chucked back into the cab. This raised ball mount sets your coupler at the right height so the trailer tows level, which is exactly what a 1/2-ton pickup usually needs when it's pulling a camper. It's the Shocker Drop Ball Mount attachment with no hitch ball, built for heavy-duty towing. The 1-1/4" hole lets you mount the hitch ball of your choice (ball not included), and it's rated up to 20,000 lbs of trailer with 2,000 lbs of tongue weight, so your final capacity comes down to the ball you bolt in. It's designed to work with Shocker Air Receiver Hitches, HD, Super Drop, Max Black, XR and Impact series hitches. Run it in a Shocker Air Hitch and you get 2″ of rise to 2″ of drop; in the Impact series it's a 5″ rise to 3″ drop, and in the XR series a 7″ rise to 5″ drop.

Key Highlights

  • Drops right into your Shocker frame: fits the 3-3/4″ ID channel on Shocker Air, Streamline & HD bumper hitches plus Shocker XR and Impact cushion hitches.
  • Raised design gets your ball up where it needs to be, the setup 1/2-ton owners reach for when towing a camper trailer.
  • Hauls up to 20,000 lbs of trailer and 2,000 lbs of tongue weight, enough for the heaviest loads a Shocker frame handles (final GTW depends on the ball attached).
  • 1-1/4" hole takes the hitch ball you choose, so you match the ball to your coupler (ball not included).
  • Dial in a level tow: 2″ rise to 2″ drop on Air Bumper Hitches, 5″ rise to 3″ drop on Impact Cushion Hitches, and 7″ rise to 5″ drop on Shocker XR hitches.
  • 3-5/8" wide OD slides snug into the 3-3/4" ID channel and lines up on a 3" on-center hole pattern for a 5/8" pin.

What It Fits

  • Drops into your Shocker frame: fits Shocker Air, Streamline & HD series bumper hitches, Shocker XR series hitches, and Impact series cushion hitches. Slides into the 3-3/4″ ID Shocker Bumper Hitch Channel.

The Specs and What They Do For You

  • Raised design: lifts the ball to level a camper trailer, the setup 1/2-ton owners reach for.
  • Heavy-duty capacity: rated to 20,000 lbs of trailer and 2,000 lbs of tongue weight (final GTW depends on the ball attached).
  • 1-1/4" ball hole: mounts the hitch ball of your choice, so you match it to your coupler (ball not included).
  • Rise & drop range: 2″ rise to 2″ drop on Air Bumper Hitches, 5″ rise to 3″ drop on Impact Cushion Hitches, 7″ rise to 5″ drop on Shocker XR hitches.
  • 3-5/8" mount width: 3-5/8" wide OD fits a 3-3/4" ID channel, with a 3" on-center hole pattern for a 5/8" pin.

When to Choose This

Reach for this mount when you already run a Shocker bumper-pull air or cushion hitch frame and need to switch ball sizes, flip your drop or rise to tow level, or replace a mount that's worn from years on the road. It drops into the frame you've got, so you're not buying a whole new hitch.
