Stop destroying your trailer and cargo.
Every bump, pothole, and expansion joint sends a violent jolt through your trailer frame, damaging cargo and wearing out your truck. Shocker Air Ride Hitches absorb that punishment at the coupling, before it reaches your trailer.
Long runs down corrugated outback tracks or broken rural roads beat up your trailer, your tow vehicle, and everything you are hauling, and every hard knock travels straight up into your seat. The Shocker Metric Export Air Hitch takes that hit for you. It is the Original Red 14K chassis with a built-in air bag sitting between the receiver and the ball, so the suspension soaks up the shock before it reaches your cargo or your spine. It is rated for 12,000 lbs GTW, enough for a loaded caravan, box trailer, or boat trailer, and it is drilled with a 22mm ball hole that takes standard 50mm or 70mm bolt-on tow balls. You get 1/2" to 4-1/2" of drop on a 2-inch shank to level your trailer to your tow vehicle. This one is built for Australian and European coupler standards, so buyers in the US and Canada should look at the imperial Original Shocker line instead.

Built to Match Metric Couplers
22mm Ball Hole, No Workarounds
The ball mount is drilled to the 22mm hole standard used across Australia and Europe. Your bolt-on 50mm or 70mm trailer ball threads straight in, so there are no adapters or US-spec workarounds to chase down.
The Proven 14K Air Ride Chassis
Underneath, this is the Original Shocker 14K that plenty of owners already tow with: laser-cut steel side plates, a multi-ply commercial air bag, and a rocker-arm pivot. Only the ball mount geometry changes for your region.
Tune the Ride to Your Load
Add or release air to match the ride to whatever you are pulling. Running heavy that day, put in more air. Light trailer, let some out. It is the same setup our domestic air hitches use.
Soaks Up the Rough Stuff
Outback corrugations, cobblestone, and broken rural roads hammer trailers and tow vehicles with hard, repeated knocks. The built-in air bag absorbs that shock before it works its way into your cargo or your spine.
Where It Earns Its Keep
The AU and EU tow jobs this hitch was built for:
- Caravans and off-road trailers on the Australian outback
- European caravans and small horse floats
- Box and utility trailers up to 12,000 lbs / 5,400 kg
- Boat trailers on long, rough country roads
- Trades and contractor light commercial trailers
- Any AU or EU coupler-standard trailer where ride quality matters
Metric Export vs. US/Canada Lines
Pick the line that matches your market:
Metric Export (AU / EU)
This hitch. A 22mm ball hole that takes 50mm or 70mm metric bolt-on balls. Pick it for Australia and Europe, where US imperial couplers are not the standard.
Original Shocker 14K (US / Canada)
Same chassis, set up for imperial 2" or 2-5/16" balls. This is the North American version. Choose it if your trailers run US imperial couplers.
Metric Off-Road AU/EU Tongue Mount
The metric coupler bolts to the trailer instead of the tow vehicle. Choose this if you want the air ride to stay with the trailer when different trucks hook up to it.
Buy Your Ball Locally
Metric ball sizes change from region to region (50mm is standard across most of Europe, and 70mm is common in Australia and parts of the EU for heavier trailers), so the trailer ball is sold separately. Pick up a 50mm or 70mm bolt-on ball locally to match your coupler. Both sizes fit the 22mm hole on the included ball mount attachment.
Shipping and Warranty
It is in stock in Canada and ships internationally direct from us. Every hitch is backed by Shocker Hitch's 60-day satisfaction guarantee. The air bag is field-replaceable in about 5 minutes and replacement bags are available worldwide, so a worn bag never means a new hitch. You are responsible for any local import duties, taxes, or compliance certification at the destination.
