Stop destroying your trailer and cargo.
Every bump, pothole, and expansion joint sends a violent jolt through your trailer frame, damaging cargo and wearing out your truck. Shocker Air Ride Hitches absorb that punishment at the coupling, before it reaches your trailer.
Every bump, frost heave, and hard stop on the highway travels straight up the receiver and into your truck, your trailer, and everything you loaded. That constant chucking and jarring is what wears out couplers, rattles your cargo, and leaves your knuckles white on a long haul. This is the Original 7 hole Shocker Air receiver hitch base frame, the part that fixes it. It carries a built-in air ride system that floats under the receiver tube and soaks up the road so the ride stays smooth and the load stays settled. Rated to haul 14,000 lbs with up to 1,400 lbs on the tongue, it handles just about anything you will put behind a half-ton or three-quarter-ton. You get the complete 14K base frame air hitch assembly plus 3 d-handle ball mount pins with clips, so you have everything to tow except the ball mount itself. That part is yours to choose: 10 plus ball mount attachments are sold separately, so you match the exact ball size and drop your trailer needs. Built for a 2 inch receiver.
Key Highlights
- Smoother, safer miles: the built-in air ride suspension sits under the receiver tube and cushions the ride, soaking up road shock instead of passing it to you. Dial the air pressure up or down to fine-tune the ride and hold your load steady.
- Built-in air ride system: the pivoting design filters out the bumps, tugs, jerks, and bangs before they reach you, so the ride smooths out and the trailer is less likely to sway. Dual rubber bump cushions add even more. Easier on you, your vehicle, your trailer, and its contents.
- Original 7 hole design: 7 adjustment holes give you anywhere from a 2 inch rise to a 7-1/2 inch drop, so you can level the trailer to your truck (range varies by the ball mount you run).
- Fits 2WD rigs: built for 2 wheel drive pickups, vans, and select SUVs that carry a receiver under the bumper.
- Tough red finish: an impact-resistant premium powder coat in safety red keeps the base frame protected and looking sharp.
- Pulls 14,000 lbs: rated for 14,000 lbs of trailer with up to 1,400 lbs on the tongue, plenty for the heaviest load behind a half-ton or three-quarter-ton.
- Tunes to your load: match the frame to whatever you are hauling that day. Just add air for the heavier loads.
- 2 inch receiver shank: drops into a 2 inch receiver hitch tube, with three hitch pin holes so you can adjust the length.

When to Choose This
Reach for this base frame when you are building an Original Shocker bumper-pull air hitch from the ground up, or replacing a worn or damaged frame. It gives you the air ride assembly and the three d-handle pins with clips. Then add the ball mount that fits your trailer, and down the road you can switch ball sizes or change your drop and rise just by swapping the mount.
