This base frame comes complete with pins and no ball mount, rated at 14,000 lbs GTW with 7 Holes for a level tow, fits 2-1/2-inch receivers, and runs roughly 30 to 40 percent less than the air-ride version while still pulling noticeably smoother than any solid ball mount.

How the Dual Bump Cushion System Works
Two Rubber Cushions Take the Hit
A pair of dense rubber bump stops sits between the ball mount arm and the receiver frame. When the trailer tugs and bounces, the cushions squeeze and spring back, soaking up road shock right at the hitch so it never travels up into the truck.
A Pivot That Smooths the Ride
The ball mount pivots on the same lever-arm geometry as the air-ride Original Shocker. That pivot is what lets a cushion hitch ride smoother than a solid steel mount, because it gives the load somewhere to move instead of slamming the frame.
