Stop destroying your trailer and cargo.
Every bump, pothole, and expansion joint sends a violent jolt through your trailer frame, damaging cargo and wearing out your truck. Shocker Air Ride Hitches absorb that punishment at the coupling, before it reaches your trailer.
Every bump, frost heave, and hard stop on a solid ball mount slams straight up through your truck, and you feel all of it in the seat. The Shocker Impact Cushion 14K softens that hit without asking you to babysit anything. It runs the same proven 8-hole steel chassis as the Original Shocker Air Hitch, but it swaps the airbag for sealed dual rubber bump cushions, so there is no air pressure to check, no compressor to own, and no maintenance to remember. This Impact Cushion Hitch & Drop Ball Mount w/2-5/16" Ball hauls up to 14,000 lbs GTW, drops from 0" to 7-1/2", and slides into any 2-1/2-inch receiver. It costs roughly 30 to 40% less than the air-ride version and still pulls noticeably smoother than any solid ball mount. In stock in Canada and ships direct, so there is no border wait.

How the Rubber Cushions Take the Hit
Two Sealed Rubber Cushions Do the Work
A pair of dense rubber bump stops sits between the ball mount arm and the receiver frame. When the trailer tugs and bounces, the cushions squeeze and spring back, soaking up the road shock right at the hitch so it never reaches you in the cab.
A Pivot That Softens the Ride
The ball mount swings on the same lever-arm geometry as the air-ride Original Shocker. That pivot is the reason a cushion hitch feels smoother than a solid steel mount that has nowhere to give.
Sealed Up, Nothing to Service
The cushions are bonded inside the frame. No air valve, no pressure gauge, nothing to top up. Bolt it in once and pull with it for the life of your truck.
Calmer Behind the Truck
The pivoting cushion damps the fore-aft jerks that get trailer sway started, so most light and mid-weight trailers pull noticeably calmer. Heavy loads still want a dedicated sway control kit, and you will feel the everyday difference right away.
Who This Hitch Is Made For

- Folks who tow a few times a year and want it simple
- Anyone who does not want to babysit air pressure or own a compressor
- Boat, fish house, snowmobile, and ice house haulers
- Contractors pulling skid steer, dump, and equipment trailers

- Fleet operators who want zero ongoing hitch maintenance
Cushion or Air Ride: How to Choose
Both ride better than a solid mount. What sets them apart is travel, tunability, and price.
Impact Cushion 14K (this product)
Rubber cushions, roughly 30 to 40% cheaper, and zero maintenance. You get less suspension travel than air ride, plus a clear step up from solid steel. It is the right pick for occasional or light-duty towing, and for anyone who would rather keep it simple than tune it.
Original Shocker Air Hitch (air-ride sibling)
Same chassis with an adjustable airbag. You get more travel, a smoother ride at any load weight, and the ability to dial pressure to match each trailer. It costs more, needs a compressor, and the airbag is a wear item (rare, and field-replaceable). Best for daily towers and heavy use.
Set It and Forget It
Most truck owners who tow a few times a year do not want a hitch that begs for attention. The Impact Cushion 14K bolts in, pulls smooth, and never needs servicing. There is no air pressure to check before a trip, no airbag to inspect, and no compressor riding in the toolbox. If you picked Shocker for the name but do not want the air-ride routine, this is the line built exactly for you.
Same Ecosystem as the Original Shocker
Because the Impact Cushion runs the same chassis as the Original Shocker, every ball mount attachment in the Shocker catalog fits it: combo balls, pintle hooks, clevises, drawbars, raised mounts, and drop mounts. Buy the base frame once and swap attachments as your trailers change. It comes finished in a safety red textured powder coat that stays visible on the road and resists chipping, and it ships direct from our Canadian warehouse.
