Improves Safety
By giving you improved control of your tow vehicle and trailer. The Gooseneck surge air hitch system allows for better control of your pickup and the trailer it is towing.
Stop destroying your trailer and cargo.
Every bump, pothole, and expansion joint sends a violent jolt through your trailer frame, damaging cargo and wearing out your truck. Shocker Air Ride Hitches absorb that punishment at the coupling, before it reaches your trailer.
The Surge Air Gooseneck Standard 30K is the default Shocker air-ride gooseneck hitch, replacing your factory inner stem and coupler with a patented forward-back airbag system rated at 30,000 lbs GTW. This square-100mm variant pairs a Demco EZ Latch coupler for 2-5/16-inch balls with multiple stem options to fit nearly any gooseneck trailer manufacturer. Installs in minutes, gives every tow instant air ride.

How Surge Air Works for Goosenecks
Gooseneck towing's worst shock is the forward-back jerk between the truck bed and the trailer stem. Surge Air absorbs that vector specifically.
Forward-Back Motion Airbag
An air spring sits behind the inner stem and absorbs the primary forward-back jerk that gooseneck operators feel during acceleration, braking, and rough pavement transitions.
Rocker Arm Pivot Design
A simple rocker arm replaces parallel linkages, shocks, and torsion arms. Fewer moving parts means less maintenance and a longer service life under heavy use.
Adjustable for Any Load
Add air for heavy loads, release air for empty trailers. The same hitch tunes from a fully loaded equipment trailer to a deadhead return run with a turn of a valve.
Drops Into Your Existing Stem
The square-100mm replaces your factory inner stem directly. No drilling, no welding, no truck-bed modification — the air ride lives between the stem and the coupler.
Built for These Gooseneck Trailers
Designed for general-purpose 30K-class gooseneck operators — from weekend horse haulers to full-time hotshot truckers.
- Flatbed gooseneck trailers up to 30,000 lbs
- Horse and livestock goosenecks
- Toy haulers and enclosed race trailers
- End dump and equipment goosenecks
- Tilt-deck gooseneck trailers
- Hotshot trucking rigs and mixed-load haulers
Multiple Stem Options
Order the variant that matches your trailer's existing inner stem. Same air-ride chassis, same Demco EZ Latch coupler, different inner stem shape.
Multi-Fit Round (4" or 100mm)
Patent-pending round stem fits both 4" and 100mm trailers with straight or angled pin holes. The most universal choice for round-stem trailers.
Multi-Fit Square (4" or 100mm)
Fits both 4" and 100mm square inner stems with straight pin holes. Covers most modern square-stem gooseneck trailers.
4-1/2" Square Stem
Heavy-wall stem for trailers using the larger 4-1/2" square inner stem. Common on PJ, Big Tex, Diamond C and other heavy-duty manufacturers.
Top-Crank 100mm Square
Variant designed to replace top-crank handle stems on trailers like Bison and other manufacturers using the crank-style adjustment.
Driving a Short-Bed Pickup?
This Standard 30K extends 3" forward of your factory coupler — fine for long-bed trucks. If you tow with a short-bed pickup and the trailer nose comes close to your cab during tight turns, choose the Surge Air Gooseneck 9" Offset 30K instead. Same air ride technology, with the coupler positioned 9 inches farther forward to keep the trailer clear of the cab.
Built to Last, Backed for Life
Heavy-duty thick-wall steel construction with a patented Demco EZ Latch coupler. The air spring is the same multi-ply rubber design used in commercial air suspension systems, and the rocker arm geometry has fewer wear points than parallel-linkage hitches. Backed by Shocker Hitch's lifetime frame warranty and 60-day satisfaction guarantee. Made in Jamestown, ND.
