Stop destroying your trailer and cargo.
Every bump, pothole, and expansion joint sends a violent jolt through your trailer frame, damaging cargo and wearing out your truck. Shocker Air Ride Hitches absorb that punishment at the coupling, before it reaches your trailer.
You feel it every time the trailer tugs at the truck. The jerk off the line, the chucking over frost heaves and rough pavement, the way a solid ball mount passes every bump straight through to your hitch, your cargo, and your spine. The Shocker Impact Cushion 14K takes the edge off. It runs the same proven 8-hole steel chassis as the Original Shocker Air Hitch, with sealed dual rubber bump cushions doing the work in place of the airbag. That means no air pressure to watch, no compressor to own, and no maintenance to keep up with. This Impact Cushion Hitch & Drawbar Mount w/1" Hole hauls up to 14,000 lbs GTW, swings from 4" of drop to 4" of rise, and slides into any 2-inch receiver. It runs roughly 30 to 40% less than the air-ride version and still tows noticeably smoother than any solid ball mount you have bolted in before.

How the Dual Bump Cushion System Works
Two Sealed Rubber Cushions Do the Work
Two dense rubber bump stops sit between the ball mount arm and the receiver frame. Every time the trailer tugs or drops into a pothole, the cushions squeeze down and spring back, soaking up the road shock right at the hitch so it never reaches you in the cab.
The Ball Mount Pivots, So the Ride Softens
The ball mount swings on the same lever-arm geometry as the air-ride Original Shocker. That bit of give is exactly why a cushion hitch feels smoother than a solid steel mount with nowhere to flex.
Sealed In, No Upkeep
The cushions are bonded right inside the frame. There is no air valve, no gauge to read, and nothing to service. You bolt it in once and pull with it for the life of the truck.
Calmer Behind You on the Highway
Those same cushions soften the back-and-forth jerks that get a trailer swaying in the first place. On heavy loads you still want a dedicated sway control kit, and on most light and mid-weight trailers the ride sits noticeably calmer behind this hitch.
Who This Hitch Is Built For
Reach for the Impact Cushion when you want a smoother tow but have no interest in checking air pressure before every trip.
- Weekend and seasonal towers who hook up a few times a year
- Drivers who don't want to babysit air pressure or buy a compressor
- Boat, fish house, snowmobile, and ice house haulers
- Contractors running skid steer, dump, and equipment trailers
- Anyone who wants a real step up from a solid ball mount without overspending
- Fleets that want a hitch with zero ongoing upkeep
Cushion vs Air Ride, How to Choose
Both ride better than a solid mount. What sets them apart is travel, tunability, and price.
Impact Cushion 14K (this product)
Rubber cushions instead of an airbag, which lands it roughly 30 to 40% cheaper with zero maintenance. You get less suspension travel than air ride and a clear step up from solid steel. It is the right pick for occasional or light-duty towing, and for anyone who wants simple over adjustable.
Original Shocker Air Hitch (air-ride sibling)
Same chassis with an adjustable airbag in place of the cushions. You get more travel, a smoother ride at any load weight, and the ability to dial pressure to match the trailer. It costs more and needs a compressor, and the airbag is a wear item that rarely fails and swaps out in the field. Best for daily towers and heavy use.
Set It and Forget It
If you only tow a handful of times a year, the last thing you want is a hitch that demands attention. The Impact Cushion 14K bolts in, pulls your trailer smoothly, and never asks for a thing. There is no air pressure to check before you leave, no airbag to inspect, and no compressor rattling around in the toolbox. If you chose Shocker for the name but have no use for the air-ride routine, this is the line built for exactly that.
Fits the Whole Shocker Attachment Family
Because the Impact Cushion runs the Original Shocker chassis, every ball mount attachment in the Shocker catalog fits it: combo balls, pintle hooks, clevises, drawbars, raised mounts, and drop mounts. Buy the base frame once and swap attachments as your trailers change. It comes finished in a safety red textured powder coat that stands out for visibility and shrugs off chips, and it ships direct from our Canadian warehouse with no border wait.
