Stop destroying your trailer and cargo.
Every bump, pothole, and expansion joint sends a violent jolt through your trailer frame, damaging cargo and wearing out your truck. Shocker Air Ride Hitches absorb that punishment at the coupling, before it reaches your trailer.
You feel every frost heave and pothole through a solid ball mount. The trailer chucks against the truck at every stop, the ride turns harsh, and that pounding grinds on your truck, your trailer, and whatever you loaded up. The Shocker Impact Cushion 14K takes the hit for you. It runs the same proven 8-hole steel chassis as the Original Shocker Air Hitch, but swaps the airbag for sealed dual rubber bump cushions, so there's no air pressure to monitor, no compressor to own, and no maintenance to remember. This Impact Cushion Hitch & Chrome Sway Bar Tab Combo Ball Mount w/2" & 2-5/16" Balls is rated at 14,000 lbs GTW with 4" Drop to 4" Rise, fits your receiver, and costs roughly 30 to 40% less than the air-ride version while still pulling noticeably smoother than any solid ball mount.

How the Dual Bump Cushion System Works
Two Sealed Rubber Bump Cushions
Two dense rubber bump stops sit between the ball mount arm and your receiver. When the trailer tugs and bounces, they squish down and spring back, catching the road shock right at the hitch so it never travels up into the cab.
The Pivot That Softens the Ride
The ball mount pivots on the same lever-arm design as the air-ride Original Shocker. That bit of give is what makes a cushion hitch ride smoother than a chunk of solid steel.
Sealed and Maintenance-Free
The cushions are bonded inside the frame, so there's no valve to check, no gauge to read, and nothing to service. Bolt it in once and it keeps working for as long as you own the truck.
Naturally Sway-Resistant
The pivoting cushion softens the fore-and-aft jerks that get a trailer swaying in the first place. It won't replace a dedicated sway control kit on a heavy load, but most light and mid-weight trailers tow a lot calmer behind it.

Cushion vs Air Ride: How to Choose
Both ride better than a solid mount. What separates them is travel, tunability, and price.
Impact Cushion 14K (this product)
Rubber cushions do the work, so it runs roughly 30 to 40% cheaper and needs zero maintenance. You give up some of the suspension travel you'd get from air ride, but it's still a clear step up from solid steel. Best for occasional or light-duty towing, or anyone who'd rather keep it simple than fiddle with settings.
Original Shocker Air Hitch (air-ride sibling)
Same chassis, but with an adjustable airbag. You get more travel, a smoother ride at any weight, and the ability to dial pressure in to match the trailer. It costs more, needs a compressor, and the airbag is a wear item (rare to fail, and field-replaceable). Best for daily towers and heavy use.
Set It and Forget It
If you only tow a few times a year, the last thing you want is a hitch that asks for attention. The Impact Cushion 14K bolts in, pulls smooth, and never needs servicing. No air pressure to check before you leave, no airbag to inspect, no compressor rattling around in the toolbox. If you came to Shocker for the reputation but don't want the air-ride routine, this is the line built for you.
Same Ecosystem as the Original Shocker
Since the Impact Cushion uses the Original Shocker chassis, every ball mount attachment in the Shocker catalog bolts right on. Combo balls, pintle hooks, clevises, drawbars, raised mounts, drop mounts. Buy the base frame once and swap attachments as your trailers change. It's finished in a safety red textured powder coat that stays easy to spot and resists chipping, and it ships direct from our Canadian warehouse with no border wait.
