Stop destroying your trailer and cargo.
Every bump, pothole, and expansion joint sends a violent jolt through your trailer frame, damaging cargo and wearing out your truck. Shocker Air Ride Hitches absorb that punishment at the coupling, before it reaches your trailer.
Every bump, frost heave, and hard stop you feel through a solid ball mount gets hammered straight into your truck, your trailer, and whatever you're hauling. The Shocker Impact Cushion 14K takes the sting out of all of it, and it does the job without air. It runs the same proven 8-hole steel chassis as the Original Shocker Air Hitch, but sealed dual rubber bump cushions do the work in place of the airbag, so there is no air pressure to watch, no compressor to own, and nothing to service. This Impact Cushion Hitch and Drop Ball Mount with 2-5/16" ball and sway bar tabs is rated to 14,000 lbs GTW with 0" to 7-1/2" of drop, drops into any 2-inch receiver, and costs roughly 30 to 40% less than the air-ride version while still towing a lot smoother than any solid ball mount.
Key Highlights
- Sealed dual rubber cushions take the beating, so you never service them

- 2-inch shank drops into F-150-class half-tons and any class III or IV receiver

How the Twin Cushions Do the Work
Two Sealed Rubber Cushions
A pair of dense rubber bump stops sit between the ball mount arm and the receiver frame. Every time the trailer tugs and bounces, they squeeze down and spring back, soaking up road shock right at the hitch instead of letting it slam into your truck.
A Ball Mount That Pivots
The ball mount rides on the same lever-arm geometry as the air-ride Original Shocker. That pivot is exactly what makes a cushion hitch feel smoother than a solid chunk of steel.
Sealed and Maintenance-Free
The cushions are bonded inside the frame. No air valve, no pressure gauge, nothing to service. Bolt it in once and pull with it for the life of the truck.
Calmer, Less Sway-Prone
The pivoting cushion design tames the fore-aft jerks that get a trailer sawing back and forth. It won't replace a dedicated sway control kit on heavy loads, though most light and mid-weight trailers follow along a lot calmer behind it.

Cushion vs Air Ride: How to Choose
Both ride better than a solid mount. The real difference comes down to travel, tunability, and price.
Impact Cushion 14K (this product)
Rubber cushions do the cushioning, so it costs roughly 30 to 40% less and asks for zero maintenance. You get less suspension travel than air ride, and a clear step up from solid steel. Best for occasional or light-duty towing, or any driver who would rather keep it simple than dial it in.
Original Shocker Air Hitch (air-ride sibling)
Same chassis with an adjustable airbag. More travel, a smoother ride at any weight, and pressure you can dial to match the trailer. It costs more, needs a compressor, and the airbag is a wear item (rare, and field-replaceable). Best for daily towers and heavy use.
Set It and Forget It
Most folks who tow a few times a year don't want a hitch that nags them for attention. The Impact Cushion 14K bolts in, pulls trailers smooth, and never asks for service. No air pressure to check before you leave, no airbag to inspect, no compressor riding in the toolbox. If you came to Shocker for the reputation but don't want the air-ride routine, this is the line built for exactly that.
Same Ecosystem as the Original Shocker
Because the Impact Cushion runs the Original Shocker chassis, every ball mount attachment in the Shocker catalog bolts right on: combo balls, pintle hooks, clevises, drawbars, raised mounts, drop mounts. Buy the base frame once and swap attachments as your trailers change. It is finished in a safety red textured powder coat that stays easy to spot and resists chipping, and it ships direct from our Canadian warehouse, so there is no border wait.
